Background / History

Shrek Academy is regarded as the continent's number one Soul Master academy and has maintained an undefeated reputation for ten thousand years through strict selection, practical training, and the cultivation of exceptional Soul Masters. Its founders were the Golden Iron Triangle and the first generation of Shrek Seven Devils, commemorated by ten ten-meter granite statues near the academy grounds. 59 82 108

Xu Zihuang originally viewed the academy as a crucial platform: its Martial Soul cultivation research surpassed that of the Sun Moon Empire, its students offered valuable sparring opportunities, and figures such as Elder Xuan and Elder Mu could provide high-level guidance. 12 60 Over time, he develops a genuine sense of belonging to the academy and its people. 342

The academy repelled a direct Body Sect incursion when the sect attempted to seize Yu Tianhuang. Elder Mu used the Sea God's Light to protect the academy and force the attackers to retreat. 213

During Di Tian's Beast Tide against Shrek City, the academy's teachers and students mobilized to defend the city walls. The Golden Tree of Sea God Island intervened when Elder Xuan was overwhelmed by Di Tian's Myriad Dragon Flame. 536

As the Sun Moon Empire prepared for war against the forces of the original Douluo Continent, Elder Xuan allowed Shrek personnel to choose whether to remain.
