Lin Taichu walked over and carefully unrolled the scroll. It depicted three Daoists gathered around a cauldron, performing a ritual. Beneath the cauldron was a man clad in Golden Armor—it was Mochenzi.
A line of small writing in the lower-right corner read: Soul Suppressing Cauldron, hidden in Kunlun, awaiting its destined finder.
"Kunlun Sect!" Lin Taichu was delighted. At last, he knew where the Soul Suppressing Cauldron was.
He quickly had the scroll put away and led everyone back to Qinghe Town. Once they returned, he immediately sent someone to deliver a message to the Kunlun Sect, asking them to hand over the Soul Suppressing Cauldron so they could deal with Mochenzi together.
But just as the messenger set out, the disciples on the city wall brought news: Mochenzi had moved.
Lin Taichu hurried to the wall and saw that Mochenzi was finally no longer standing still. He was slowly walking toward the city gate.
His pace was not fast, but every step seemed to land on everyone's hearts. The disciples atop the wall tightened their grips on their weapons and watched him nervously.
When Mochenzi reached the gate, he raised his head toward Lin Taichu on the wall and said in a booming voice, "Lin Taichu, I know you're looking for the Soul Suppressing Cauldron."
"But do you think finding it means you can defeat me? Three hundred years ago, they sealed me only because I was unprepared. Now that I have been reborn, even the Soul Suppressing Cauldron cannot save you!"
Standing atop the wall, Lin Taichu shouted back, "Mochenzi, your Corpse Puppet Technique has harmed living beings and defied the Heavenly Dao. Even without the Soul Suppressing Cauldron, we will not let you endanger the Jianghu!"
Upon hearing Lin Taichu's words, Mochenzi suddenly gave a faint laugh.
