I'm Only Two Years Older Than You
He walked out and took a look. The flying Dharma Artifacts that had still been parked on the square yesterday were all gone. Su Yao came out of the building to the north, carrying neither bamboo basket nor shovel, and walked empty-handed up to Lin Taichu.
"Everyone's gone. You can go back today."
"No hurry."
Su Yao looked at Lin Taichu.
"You're still not leaving?"
"I'll stay one more day."
Su Yao sighed.
"Just how long do you plan to stay?"
"Until you get sick of me."
Su Yao did not respond to that. She turned around and looked at the disciples practicing on the square. After watching for a while, she suddenly spoke.
"Lin Taichu, how old are you this year, exactly?"
"Twenty-one."
Su Yao fell silent for a few seconds.
"I'm twenty-three."
Lin Taichu glanced at Su Yao. He knew Su Yao was not old, but he had not expected her to be only two years older than him. Su Yao handled matters steadily and spoke with seasoned ease, making her look quite a bit older than her actual age.
"You're two years older than me."
"Yes."
"Two years isn't that much older."
Su Yao said nothing.
The disciples practicing on the square stopped. A few turned to glance this way, then turned back and continued practicing.
Su Yao turned to look at Lin Taichu. Her gaze was a little different from usual, but only for an instant before she drew it back.
"What do you plan to do today?"
"No plans."
"Then come with me to the Spirit Herb Garden. I need to dig up a few older spirit herbs today. The ones I dug up last time weren't old enough, and the Pills refined from them were only average
