Snow Empress initially intends to transform and re-cultivate because of her damaged origin and approaching heavenly tribulation. Before doing so, she hopes to help the Ice Empress survive her own 400,000-year tribulation and strengthen the Extreme North. Discovering that a human has absorbed the Ice Empress's ring enrages her; she spares Huo Yuhao only after the Ice Empress explains that the arrangement was voluntary and that killing him would also kill her 1.

Huo Yuhao offers information about Ten Thousand Year Profound Ice Marrow in exchange for protection and friendship. Snow Empress retrieves the marrow from the Earth Dragon Gate, heals her injuries, and forms dual soul cores.
