"Damn quill!"
Ince Zangwill roared in fury, trying to seize the antique quill. "What the hell do you want!"
The quill slipped out from between his fingers, paused on a stone slab, and swiftly wrote line after line of gleaming text:
"The Quill of Alzuhod has grown tired of Ince Zangwill. He can neither be an obedient puppet nor stop behaving foolishly, repeatedly provoking that great existence and implicating the Quill of Alzuhod..."
"Stop!"
Ince Zangwill lunged at the quill with a furious roar, his bloodshot eyes wide. But the quill floated up on its own and wrote line after line of clearly visible text directly in midair:
"After accidentally swallowing the River Styx Servant's Pus Core, Ince Zangwill's condition became unstable. As it is one of the main ingredients for the Death pathway's Sequence 3 Ferryman, swallowing half of it on its own will only drive his mind and spirituality into ever greater frenzy..."
Its writing was enormous. Even Luther and the others opposite him could read it perfectly clearly... No, Luther even felt that the quill was deliberately letting him see it!
No wonder Ince Zangwill could use high-sequence Death abilities, yet the pressure of his spirituality fell far short of a normal Sequence 3-he had obtained only half the characteristic! And that was precisely why his condition had become so unstable!
"This is all your fault!"
Ince Zangwill was utterly enraged. Abandoning his composure, he let out a twisted, deranged howl at the quill in midair. "I'll destroy you..."
Boom! Before he could act, a blazing burst of fire exploded against his face.
"Turn around, Ince Zangwill."
An icy voice came from across from him.
Luther stood atop the pitch-black shadows, his eyes filled with murderous intent as he stared at Ince.
Whoosh...
Thick, deep-black shadows slowly
