Xiao Xuan moved through several worlds, helping shape struggles over succession and guiding people through political and martial dangers while advancing his cultivation. The volume ended with Ning Que becoming Fuzi’s thirteenth disciple and meeting Xiao Xuan at the Academy.

Arc 9From Bright Summit to Dragon Spring

Xiao Xuan helped Zhang Wuji defeat the sects’ attackers, then lived through the founding of the Ming dynasty before entering a new world and becoming entangled in Li Xingyun’s struggle over the Tang restoration. The arc ended with Li Xingyun announcing his plan to take the throne and leading his allies into the Dragon Spring Treasure.

  • Xiao Xuan helped Zhang Wuji defeat the six sects’ leaders at Bright Summit, exposed the imperial court’s plan to destroy the sects, and led the martial artists to join the Ming Cult against the ambush.

  • Li Xingyun restored the Great Tang, while Xiao Xuan helped establish its government before retiring to seclusion and later being carried away by two merged pieces of metal.
  • Reborn as a child in Northern Li, Xiao Xuan hid his strength, arranged a secret double in Apocalypse City, and traveled the martial world, teaching Xiao Chuhe the Nine Yang Manual.

Xiao Xuan left his royal position to pursue cultivation, then entered Xu Xuan’s life in Northern Liang and helped guide the Xu family through succession, training, and political dangers. The arc ended with Xiao Xuan sealing Heaven’s Gate, receiving the Wang family, and meeting Zhang Fuyao over Go and the Confucian Way.

  • After the Mingde Emperor died, Xiao Chuhe refused the throne and Xiao Chong became emperor while Xiao Xuan retired to cultivate with Yin Luoxia.

  • Xiao Xuan survived a heavenly tribulation to form a golden core, returned to Northern Liang, and brought Wen Hua to Xu Xiao, predicting his potential to become a Land Immortal.
  • Xiao Xuan later sealed the Heavenly Gate and vanished from the mortal world, then returned to reunite with Xu Fengnian’s family and gave them a map to the island continent he had made in the East Sea.
