A Dragon Guard whispered, "Prince, should we capture Grey Shadow?"
"Shut your foul mouth!"
Cole snapped, warning him, "A grievously wounded young dragon could attack at any moment. Do you want to be burned to ash?"
The Dragon Guard sheepishly fell silent and retreated to the back to watch over the messenger.
"Prince, we should return at once and ask Lord Robert to send more men to rescue this dragon."
The dim surroundings and the young dragon's roars had Cole on edge. For safety's sake, he urged Rhaegar to leave.
Rhaegar shook his head and murmured to himself, "This is a trap. There shouldn't be only one grievously wounded Grey Shadow."
"Even if it's a trap, that's all the more reason to get out of here." Cole was growing impatient, though he tried to keep his voice down.

The group looked up and saw a colossal beast, its wings blotting out the sky, circling above Dragonstone Mountain.
"Seven hells!"
Cole stared, unable to look away, and let out a shocked cry of fear.
Thud—
After circling once, the colossal beast glided down and landed on the cliff above the cavern. Its sharp claws pierced the rock as it came to rest atop the mountain.
"Siga!!!"
The colossal beast stretched its neck and spread its wings to their full span, then threw back its fearsome head and roared at the sky.
Peering through the layers of obstruction, Rhaegar took in the entire creature.
Scales black as coal, a body the size of a small mountain, a pair of green vertical pupils...
There were too many features to describe. In Rhaegar's young life, he had never witnessed anything so awe-inspiring.
The dragon was simply enormous.
