A remote, shabby little alley.
Hardly anyone passed through. The ground was muddy, and most of the nearby houses had fallen into disrepair, their roof tiles slipping off with no one bothering to fix them.
It was precisely because the place was so desolate that someone with a keen eye had set up a coffin shop here, specializing in funeral business.
Ye Kang wore a light black robe and a specially made mask. With the Demonic Saber in hand and sturdy boots on his feet, he crossed the mud and stopped in front of the coffin shop.
"Xu's Coffin Shop. This is the place."
Ye Kang strode inside. An elderly shopkeeper hurried over at once, fretting, "Oh, you're finally here! This trouble has been tormenting me for days. You have to deal with it quickly!"
The Old Shopkeeper didn't recognize Ye Kang, but he recognized the uniform of the Masked Men.
In the south, many people knew of the Masked Men's existence. Some even took these bounty hunters for government constables.
To the common folk, it didn't matter who was beneath the mask. They only cared that their problems got solved.
Ye Kang got straight to the point. "Where are those two?"
The Old Shopkeeper pointed toward the hall in the Backyard where the new coffins were kept and whispered, "They went out. They'll be back soon. They stashed the stolen goods in the coffins!"
"What kind of stolen goods?"
"Oh, how would this old man know? They beat and cursed me every day, and made me provide their meals. If I refused, they threatened to kill me!"
The Old Shopkeeper's expression was bitter, and the bloodshot veins in his eyes showed just how miserable these past few days had been for him.
