As he spoke, he unhesitatingly snatched the item into his hand. It was a golden orb.
"What's this?"
Seeing the confusion in Ye Kang's eyes, the Alliance Leader's lips curled into a smug smile. "It's a Dragon Pearl, and it came from a member of the Golden Dragon Clan."
"What!"
Ye Kang froze. The way he looked at the Alliance Leader changed completely.
The man seemed so unassuming, yet he'd gone and done something this outrageous.
A Dragon Pearl was the Inner Core unique to the Dragon Clan. Half of a dragon's cultivation and divine abilities lay within it. Dragon Pearls also had many uses, and were exceptionally valuable materials for alchemy and crafting. They were practically priceless, and there was never any shortage of buyers.
Most importantly, this Inner Core had come from the Golden Dragon Clan.
Thanks to Ye Mo Jue's explanations, Ye Kang had learned quite a bit about the Dragon Clan in the Nine Continents' waters.
The Dragon Clan was divided by strength into the Five-Colored Dragon Palaces. Yao Xin, whom Ye Kang had met last time, came from the Silver Dragon Palace, the weakest of the Five-Colored Dragon Palaces.
The Golden Dragon Palace, by contrast, was unquestionably the strongest. The Golden Dragon Clan's innate gifts far surpassed those of the Silver White Dragon Clan, and its strongest members had a chance of growing five claws and becoming true Five-Clawed Golden Dragons.
It was clear how difficult it must have been to obtain this Dragon Pearl. He hadn't just needed to slay a dragon; he'd also had to endure the fury of the entire Golden Dragon Palace.
It took both courage and strength.
