Background / History

Tang San was originally an outer disciple of the Bashu Tang Sect. Pursued at Ghost’s Worry for secretly learning the sect’s ultimate arts, he insisted he had never revealed them and leapt from the cliff. He was chosen by the Asura God, reincarnated on the Douluo Continent, and retained his previous-life memories. 2 3

Born to Tang Hao and Ah Yin, Tang San grew up in Holy Spirit Village while cultivating the Mysterious Heaven Skill and practicing Tang Sect arts. At his Spirit Awakening, he gained Innate Full Soul Power and awakened both Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer. He concealed the hammer until Tang Hao discovered it and instructed him to use it to protect the grass. 5 6 8 9

Old Jack secured him a work-study place at Nuoding Academy. There, Grandmaster identified his Twin Martial Souls and accepted Tang San as a disciple. Tang San later obtained his first spirit ring by killing a Mandala Snake with hidden weapons after Grandmaster was poisoned. 10 12 15 16

After Xiao Wu’s identity as a Hundred-Thousand-Year Spirit Beast Transformation was exposed, Tang Hao began personally training Tang San. Tang San later returned to the Clear Sky Sect to assume responsibility for Tang Hao’s past actions. He defeated Tang Hu and the Seventh Elder, earning conditional recognition from the sect.
