Background / History

Yuan Yi is the spirit of the Yuanhe Divine Palace, a True God-level secret treasure refined by Yuanhe True God 178 epochs earlier. The Palace was also the foundation of the True God-level force established by its master. 182

When Lin Yi passed the Palace's entry assessment, Yuan Yi received him on the White Jade Plaza and explained that he had qualified as an Outer Disciple. Yuan Yi was initially cold and dismissive toward Lin Yi's aptitude, while also revealing the Palace's fallen state and the vast gap between the Nine Provinces and the wider universe. 182

As Lin Yi's talent and willpower developed, Yuan Yi's judgment changed sharply. Lin Yi's leap to late Divine Body Realm Triple Layer will in just over a month convinced Yuan Yi that he had the potential to become Yuanhe True God's personal disciple. Yuan Yi granted him core-disciple treatment, including upgraded treasures, cultivation resources, and one hundred thousand Spirit Stones. 195

Yuan Yi later recognized Lin Yi's exceptional record—forming a Top-Grade Divine Body, killing cultivators far above his realm, and repeatedly surpassing conventional limits—and formally elevated him to direct disciple status. This gave Lin Yi access to higher authorization, exclusive inheritance, and the strongest training Yuan Yi could provide. 214

Appearance

Yuan Yi appears as a fox roughly the size of a mongrel dog. 182

  • Snow-white or white fur. 182 186
  • Red eyes. 182
  • Seven tails. 182
  • Often lounges on a bluish stone within the Yuanhe Divine Palace. 261

Personality

Yuan Yi is blunt, demanding, and easily irritated by what it considers foolish decisions. It openly mocks inadequate aptitude, scolds Lin Yi for reckless cultivation, and refuses to soften its assessments. 182 208 224

Despite its sharp tongue, Yuan Yi is deeply invested in Lin Yi's development and survival. It becomes visibly excited by his potential, monitors threats to his family, provides resources in measured stages, and intervenes when his attempts to forge a Top-Grade Divine Body threaten to kill him. 195 198 209

Yuan Yi is pragmatic in its guidance. It emphasizes stable foundations, warns Lin Yi not to invent an enemy's cultivation realm without evidence, and advises him to trade unused spoils rather than leave them idle. 224 261
