History

Founding and expansion

Tianshanzi established the sect and his lineage on Tianshan Mountain more than a millennium ago. After discovering the Martial Emperor’s three legacy treasures, he installed them in Tianshan Pavilion as the foundation for nurturing exceptional disciples. The sect credits these relics with producing countless Xiantian experts and expanding its territory from five prefectures to eight. 68 69

Long Tianhong incident

Eighty years before the main story, the sect invested heavily in Long Tianhong, a Qingyang Prefecture genius whose apparent rise after opening his acupoints suggested he could surpass First Rank. It assigned him elite teachers, techniques, and resources, but his advancement slowed sharply after reaching Peak Fifth Rank. 24

More than a decade later, an anonymous letter, supported by evidence, revealed that Long Tianhong had concealed his prior cultivation and fabricated his extraordinary early progress to secure the sect’s protection and resources for himself and the Long Family. The Sect Master ordered Long Tianhong’s execution by slow slicing and exterminated nine generations of the Long Family. The scandal made the sect a laughingstock among major Nine Provinces forces and caused powerful factions to prioritize the age at which a genius first displays talent over rapid subsequent advancement. 24

Lin Yi’s rise

Lin Yi entered Tianshan Pavilion after its leadership confirmed that he met its admission threshold. The sect gave him free access to the Tianshan Three Treasures, Tianshan Coin purchasing privileges, and substantial rewards for his performance at the Willpower Stone Pillar. 67 68 79

His rapid advances initially raised fears of another Long Tianhong. Sect Master Gu Changsheng therefore offered Lin Yi a choice between immediate staged rewards and a more demanding final assessment based on the authenticity of his talent. 90 93

After Lin Yi defeated the Xiantian cultivator Chu Chuan as a First Rank martial artist, the sect’s elders and Martial Saint ancestor recognized his unprecedented potential. Unification of the Nine Provinces

After Lin Yi destroyed the Yuan Imperial Palace and displayed overwhelming power, Martial Saints and major forces submitted to Tianshan Sect authority. Within a month, the Nine Provinces Continent was brought under the sect’s command. 192

When the Three Mountains Family later attacked Tianshan Sect, Lin Yi defended the sect, killed the invading Divine Body Realm elders, and ultimately slew the Immortal Realm expert Sanshan Helong.
