"I even thought the entire squad would be wiped out!"
"Thank heavens you turned out to be so strong!"
"I owe you my life for getting out of this alive."
There was a strange note in Hu Biao's voice.

He'd rarely seen a demon die so horribly!
Just then, Hu Biao's gaze fixed on the Snake Demon's swollen belly, and he let out a surprised cry.
Then Hu Biao took his broadsword and lightly ran its tip across the Snake Demon's abdomen.
The Snake Demon was dead, and its defenses were weak, so the blade sliced it open without much effort.
Once its belly was cut open, they saw a number of enormous snake eggs inside.
Each one was about the size of two fists.
At the sight, Hu Biao suddenly understood!
No wonder!
No wonder this Snake Demon had poisoned the villagers to kill them.
Though it was a Second-Order Demon, its condition had been terrible. It was pregnant, after all.
If it had slaughtered all those people one after another, it would have exhausted itself even more, so it hadn't done that.
Lin Feng saw the eggs too, and a thoughtful look passed through his eyes.

Lin Feng's squad had six members. If they all died, six positions would open up!
Greed flashed in Lu Gang's eyes.
Six positions! How many cultivation resources could he get in exchange for those?
He could advance further in the Houtian Realm.

"Captain Chen."
Squad Leader Li walked over and reported excitedly, "Mission accomplished! All five new recruits returned unharmed!"
Approval showed in Captain Chen's eyes.

"Good. Very good," Captain Chen said. "To kill a First-Order Demon single-handedly means your strength has improved considerably!"
