Afterword, and a Few Updates About My New Book!

First of all, thank you, everyone!

From September 23, 2022, to February 3, 2024—nearly a year and five months, and 4.18 million words!

A book is a journey! A world!

Thank you for taking this journey with me and helping build this world.

This book has been a new personal best for me!

It started with 2,600 paid subscribers and ended with more than 30,000.

At its peak, the number of readers who continued subscribing reached over 17,000, and even when the book ended, it still had 12,000.

My heartfelt thanks to every reader who subscribed, voted, or tipped! I'm incredibly grateful!

Now, back to the book itself.

This book was planned as part of a trilogy. Why didn't I say so outright at the beginning? I explained that in an earlier author's note, so I won't repeat myself.

As for why, even in the final stage, Cold Heaven Emperor and Hong Zhu only made brief appearances, that was really the line I was determined not to cross.
