The Situation

Beneath a starry sky where light and darkness alternated, deep within a seemingly boundless asteroid belt, in a shadowy region untouched by sunlight, Two Third Realm Cultivators moved swiftly, one before the other, covering each other.

The asteroid cluster in the direction they were heading was exceptionally dense, the rocks nearly pressed together. Drawn by the gravitational pull of the starry void, they drifted slowly. From time to time, debris from colliding asteroids scattered outward. Yet, because this was outer space, not a sound could be heard. The flying fragments carried tremendous inertial force, and whenever they skimmed across the surface of a large asteroid, they inevitably left a mark.

When they reached the edge of the shadowy region, both stopped at once. The one behind observed the surroundings, while the other watched the area where the asteroids were pressing against one another. Most of that place was pitch-black, with only a faint trace of light filtering through the gaps in the asteroid belt on the sunward side.

Within Inspiration World, countless spirit creatures were tearing and fighting over one another amid the starry sky where darkness and light intertwined, seemingly competing for areas reached by sunlight.

Suddenly, a fragment of rock shot toward the Cultivator in front, striking precisely within the sunlit area ahead of him. As a scratch silently appeared, a streak of green liquid with corrosive properties emerged within it beneath the sunlight. The instant the liquid appeared, it formed energy particles too tiny for the naked eye to observe and rapidly spread in all directions.

The Cultivator in front immediately activated a metal sphere clenched in his hand. At once, he and the Cultivator covering him from behind strangely merged into the darkness.

More than ten breaths later, after the spreading energy particles had vanished into
