Arc 9The Star Gods’ Trap

Wang Ping advanced his cultivation and strengthened Thousand Wood Temple while political tensions pushed the Summer Dynasty toward war. After uncovering a plot tied to Liu Zixiu’s assassination, he faced two chaotic Star Gods who had tracked him with an Outer Realm Object.

  • Wang Ping escaped Wulang and the Wood Cultivator, reached Moon Pool, and learned that Lanyang and Zizhu were Yulian’s parents.

After receiving Lord Xiaoshan’s secret method, he returned to the temple as unrest between its courts threatened to disrupt plans for Central Province.

  • Wang Ping learned of Wang Wenyi’s assassination, met Guan Xi, and agreed to help kill Si Ran after hearing about the Jimin Association’s factions and the threat posed by the mad Star Gods.
  • Wang Ping survived Xiao Lingzi’s attack, joined the operation that killed Si Ran, and later warned Zi Luan about a planned ambush as Liu Zixiu’s assassination set off a northern campaign.

Wang Ping completed his advancement to the Third Realm, became Pacification Commissioner, and was elected a Third Seat amid political upheaval and disaster. After Wulang’s death brought ruin to Thousand Wood Temple, Leng Kezhen arrived with Commander Jiao’s head and news from the imperial court.

  • Wang Ping refined his Physical Body into a spiritual body, then advanced to the Third Realm and formed a Primordial Spirit with Zi Luan guarding him.
  • Lord Xiaoshan offered Wang Ping a path to the Third Seat, and Wang Ping accepted the Pacification Commissioner post while arranging compensation for Jinhuai Prefecture’s ruined crops.
  • Wang Ping assumed his commissioner duties, explored the Daoist Scripture Hall, and later witnessed a battle between Third Realm cultivators devastate the region near Shangning Lake.
