Lin Zhu guided Western Qi through the Ten Deadly Arrays while Wen Zhong’s campaign against the North Sea Alliance escalated into a struggle over Silver Pass. After Lü Yue’s plague crippled Western Qi, Yang Chan returned with a remedy, leaving the war still unresolved.

  • Nezha defeated Feng Lin and Zhang Guifang, and Lin Zhu completed and announced the Investiture of the Gods Platform before bringing the Nine Dragon Island Four Sages into the war.
  • Wen Zhong led wronged souls through the Blood River until Lin Zhu drove back Old Monster Styx, where Ksitigarbha and Diting stopped them.

Arc 9The North Sea and Western Qi

Lin Zhu’s disciples helped Western Qi defeat Zhang Guifang and the Four Sages while Wen Zhong gained new powers and returned to Chaoge. The arc ended with Lin Zhu helping Wen Zhong lead wronged souls through the Blood River, where Ksitigarbha and Diting stopped them.

  • Nezha defeated Feng Lin and Zhang Guifang, and Lin Zhu completed and announced the Investiture of the Gods Platform before bringing the Nine Dragon Island Four Sages into the war.
  • The Four Sages attacked Western Qi, but Deng Chanyu and Long Xuhu helped Jiang Ziya’s forces kill Wang Mo, Yang Sen, Gao Youqian, and Li Xingba, then Long Xuhu’s boulders helped rout Zhang Guifang’s army.
  • Jin Chan drove back Yuan Futong’s rebels, fought Yaoshi Buddha above the North Sea, and helped Wen Zhong awaken his Tongtian Divine Eye and learn the Five Elements Escape Technique.
  • Jiang Ziya trapped Lu Xiong’s army in snow and flood, capturing Lu Xiong, Fei Zhong, and You Hun, while Mo Xie destroyed Fei Zhong and You Hun’s souls.
  • Su Hu’s forces defeated Chong Houhu at Chong City, but Long Ji rescued Chong Heihu and sent him to Western Qi, while Wen Zhong captured Xin Huan and recruited him and his sworn brothers.
  • Wen Zhong returned to Chaoge and found the palace haunted by wronged souls as Su Daji and the other demons cultivated in secret, so he opened a passage to the Underworld and led the souls toward it.

Arc 10The Ten Arrays of Western Qi

Lin Zhu drew Laozi’s Qing Niu and Jie Sect disciples into the war, then helped Western Qi defeat Qing Niu and survive Yao Tianjun’s attempt to kill Jiang Ziya. The arc ended with Long Ji appointed to break the Ten Ultimate Arrays as Chan Sect immortals arrived in Xi Qi City.

  • Lin Zhu spared Su Daji and the other two demons until after the Great Calamity, while Wen Zhong suppressed rebellions and prepared to campaign against the North Sea demons.
  • Lin Zhu sent Shen Gongbao to Tushita Palace, where he recruited Qing Niu, who stole Laozi’s Diamond Cutter and Jade Purification Bottle and followed Shen Gongbao to Chaoge.
  • Shen Gongbao and Qing Niu joined Wen Zhong’s campaign against Western Qi, where Qing Niu killed Huang Tianhua and several Huang family generals with the Diamond Cutter.
  • Lin Zhu arrived in Xi Qi City and revealed Qing Niu’s identity, while Yang Jian resisted his treasures and eventually killed him with help from Long Ji’s illusion array.

Arc 11Arrays and Alliances

Lin Zhu guided Shi Zongheng’s rise while Western Qi broke several of the Ten Deadly Arrays and Bo Yikao entered the Red Sand Array to endure its hundred-day calamity. At Silver Pass, Wen Zhong’s forces faced Yaoshi Buddha and the North Sea Alliance as Jin Chan confronted his old rival.

  • Burning Lamp Daoist proposed leading the immortals, but Lin Zhu put Long Ji in command, and Western Qi began challenging the Ten Deadly Arrays.
  • Long Ji’s chosen immortals broke several arrays, while Deng Hua, Han Dulong, Fang Bi, Xue Ehu, Xiao Zhen, Qiao Kun, Cao Bao, and Xiao Sheng died in the attempts.

Arc 12The North Sea and the Plague

The North Sea Alliance destroyed Zhao Gongming and the Jie Sect reinforcements, but the Three Xiaos and Yang Jiao’s Precious Lotus Lamp turned the conflict into a deadly struggle at Silver Pass. As the war shifted to Western Qi, Lü Yue’s plague crippled the city, and Yang Chan returned from Fire Cloud Cave with medicine to cure it.

  • Wen Zhong killed Dao Gui and struck the last fragment of his soul with the Chaos Thunder Incantation, while Jin Chan and Yaoshi Buddha’s forces fought to a stalemate at Silver Pass.
  • Lin Zhu arranged for Zhao Gongming and Biyou Palace disciples to reinforce Silver Pass, but Maitreya lured them into the Ten Thousand Demons Array, where nearly a hundred Jie Sect disciples died.
  • Mo Xie brought the news to Yunxiao, Qiongxiao, and Bixiao, who defeated the North Sea demons and destroyed Maitreya’s Human Seed Bag, though Yaoshi Buddha and Precious Moon Daoist escaped.
