But what disappointed Xingyan was that, for some reason, he still could not directly detonate an area dozens of miles wide like Teostra. And as for merely breathing fire, far too many dragons could do that.
Perhaps his output was insufficient?
Or perhaps he lacked the proper organs to exert force?
In any case, Xingyan had eagerly rushed up the hill, intending to burn a few miles of land as a test, only to discover that he simply could not affect the surrounding natural environment over a wide area as effortlessly as Teostra could. It left the dragon terribly disappointed.
He also could not release explosive powder to attack like Teostra. That powder was actually Teostra's aged body tissue, and being able to release it through its mouth or gaps in its shell during battle was perfectly in line with Capcom-style science.
Since Xingyan had not eaten Teostra's shell or any other body parts, he had no idea how to evolve a shell capable of turning into explosive powder. If he really could release explosive powder, he would somewhat resemble the proper Two-Named Monster Hellblade Glavenus.
Unfortunately, he could not.
During this period, Xingyan had not even dared to wander around or show himself on the surface, afraid that Nergigante might still be patrolling the southern Great Sand Sea. After all, he had taken the most valuable spoils from Teostra's corpse—under normal circumstances, that Teostra should have been thoroughly devoured by Nergigante.
Who knew whether that guy would lack energy for growth afterward—well, Xingyan did not care.
Without any benefit in it for him, he had no intention of fighting Nergigante.
This feeling of hiding in his nest and living off what he had was actually rather nice. The food he had hunted earlier was enough for both himself and
