A solitary courtyard stood quietly amid the grove.
The signboard of the "Xiw Wu" schoolhouse was barely visible beneath the dust.
A Curse Gate appeared out of nowhere, and a figure in a black robe carrying a saber strode out.
The towering gate vanished in an instant. Yet all at once, the dust and grime disappeared from the schoolhouse, and brilliant colors filled the place. In the blink of an eye, the ruins had become a bright, spotless classroom. The doors swung wide with a boom, as if welcoming its master home.
Pei Ling walked inside.
A moment later, he came back out of the schoolhouse.
He had also finished arranging the inheritance of the Wooden Man Law.
Of his three "Origin" inheritances, one was now housed in Chongming Sect's Inheritance Hall, another in a secret realm within You Su Fen, and the last in the "Xiw Wu" schoolhouse here on Jiuyi Mountain.
As with the first two inheritances, the Wooden Man Law inheritance in the "Xiw Wu" schoolhouse would not truly appear until after he ascended...
The Curse Gate appeared again, and Pei Ling stepped through.

Darkness loomed like a towering wall, reaching up to the highest heavens.
Endless yellow sand surged and swirled, like a vast, ocher sea raging between heaven and earth.
Stone towers stood in silent rows.
The towering gate rose with a roar. Pei Ling stepped out and looked at the familiar darkness before him. Without the slightest hesitation, he vanished into it.
Not long afterward, Pei Ling appeared beside nine towering white pillars.
Thunder roared, tearing through the firmament. Countless chains of Heavenly Tribulation snaked down the immense pillars and converged upon a blood-red coffin floating in midair.
