Purple and green light intertwined as lightning blazed across the sky. Nine towering white pillars stood in silence, countless chains wrapped around a blood-red coffin. As it rose and fell, the clanging of metal rang out, vast and thunderous.
Rumble...
The final bolt of lightning crashed down with such force it seemed about to set heaven and earth ablaze.
Brilliant white light lingered, nearly tearing this world apart.
A moment later, the terrifying heavenly might slowly receded, and the tribulation clouds vanished. In the nine pillars, once more shrouded in gloom, a slender, graceful figure stood tall. Her wide sleeves billowed, her white hair fell loose, and though she was covered in wounds, a trace of blood at the corner of her mouth, her aura was like a freshly honed blade—peerlessly sharp, with a sense of perfection flowing all around her.
"Ling Yi" came to herself with a slight daze, taking in the murky scene around her.
By now, the wasteland beyond the nine pillars was packed with Human Race cultivators. Like a flock of sheep, they stood with the Mahayana cultivators who had escorted them here. Apart from a gap deliberately left open, they nearly filled the vast wasteland until not even a drop of water could pass.
Seeing "Ling Yi" break through the Eighty-one Tribulations, every member of the Human Race was overcome with heartfelt joy.
"Lin Shi" beamed and cheered repeatedly. "Good! Good! Good! Our race has gained another warrior who can fight. It proves that the fate of this world belongs to our race!"
Even "Xu Jie," usually so gloomy and indifferent, was beaming as he nodded. "Indeed! The coming battle needs talents like Fellow Daoist 'Ling Yi'..."
