Contracted Kin

"Fruit of the Ocean's Amrita..."

Brahman watched the cockroaches mating inside the box and the little rat mounting the female. A faint smile curled his lips.

Then he carried them into the kitchen.

"Eat up, eat plenty, and make lots of babies! Hahaha!"

Laughing, Brahman put some food inside.

Six times. His ocular power could only sustain the creation of six Seeds of Blessing. This ocular technique of his wasn't powerful; in fact, it was incredibly weak and ordinary. It couldn't threaten any living creature, distort space, manipulate time, or control the elements. It was just a very ordinary ocular technique.

This body had no family. Uchiha Brahman's parents had died long ago. Siblings? How could he possibly have any?

In other words, his eyes would never become an Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.

"How tragic!"

Uchiha Brahman said.

However, the power of the Ocean's Amrita could do more than make him stronger. It could also replenish his ocular power.

"For now, this will do. Breed, breed to your hearts' content!"

In the dark kitchen, Uchiha Brahman watched his two kin and spoke in a low voice. Then he yawned and went back to bed.

The next day, Uchiha Brahman got up and went into the kitchen.

Inside a small box, several cockroaches crawled over a pile of leftovers. Uchiha Brahman looked at one of them and lowered his hand. The cockroach crawled over and onto his palm.

"Good. She's pregnant already!"

He watched the cockroach and sensed her carefully—or, more accurately, read her memories. After confirming that she had mated the previous night, he nodded in satisfaction.

Then he looked to the side, at the rat in the bucket. The rat had also mated the previous night.

Some time later, several little cockroaches hatched from the female's ootheca. During that time, he also caught many female rats and paired them with the rat. Many of the females were now pregnant.

Inside one box, a group of tiny white cockroaches crawled out of their ootheca. Uchiha Brahman watched quietly. He could feel a connection between himself and the little cockroaches.

Before long, the cockroaches gradually grew up. Uchiha Brahman selected some and began releasing them throughout Konoha, letting them breed to their hearts' content. Meanwhile, the pregnant female rats gave birth to new little rats.

The pink little creatures squeaked. Brahman looked at the baby rats with boundless affection and gave their mothers more food.

Time passed quietly. It was now the year 52 of Konoha. The village had weathered the Nine Tails' rampage, the Fourth Hokage was dead, and Sarutobi Hiruzen had returned to power.

In other words, the night of the massacre was only a few years away!

Uchiha Brahman's current identity was that of an ordinary member of the Uchiha Clan: a civilian, an inconspicuous little ant.

In the original history, when the night of the Uchiha Clan's massacre arrived, he would have been one of the ordinary Uchiha killed by Itachi Uchiha. But now, history had changed.

In the Shinobi World, every living creature had chakra within it. These tiny creatures were no exception. After receiving a Seed of Blessing, the chakra within the cockroaches and rats had increased as well.

Though not by much.

Time passed quietly. During this period, Uchiha Brahman lived a secluded life, just as he had before crossing over. He did nothing, quietly raising more and more rats and cockroaches.

At the same time, he secretly released some cockroaches and rats, allowing them to spread and multiply, even leave Konoha and spread to other parts of the Shinobi World.

Rats and cockroaches were arguably the fastest-breeding creatures in nature.

After vast numbers of cockroaches and rats had been born, the first Fruit of the Ocean's Amrita finally appeared.

"Hahaha!!!"

Brahman looked at the milky-white fruit and willed it to fall from the illusory, half-real tree. It merged into his body, and in an instant, he felt his strength increase and the chakra within him grow.

Even the two-sixths of his ocular power he had expended recovered somewhat.

This was the power of the Ocean's Amrita.

"But I won't be satisfied with just this!"

Some time later, Brahman went to the toilet, covered his nose, and picked out several maggots. After torturing one until it was nearly dead, he formed a Seed of Blessing and turned the maggot into his kin.

Before long, the maggot became a fly.

Brahman found a bunch of flies and had his fly mate with them, breeding more maggots and flies.

The reason he had transformed only two kin before was that he feared some accident might happen and kill them all.

But now, the rats and cockroaches had grown into thriving populations and begun to breed. They had even spread beyond Konoha and were moving across the entire Shinobi World.

He no longer needed to worry about their safety.

Even if he used up all the ocular power in his eyes now and something happened to all his new kin, he wouldn't be left completely empty-handed, with no backup plan at all.

Once large numbers of kin-flies had bred, Uchiha Brahman released most of them and gave them a single command: breed, breed! Keep breeding!

Next, Uchiha Brahman found a kind of tiny fish that was both the most numerous and the most common in the river.

They were about as thick as a finger.

After torturing one until it was on the verge of death, he created a Seed of Blessing and turned the little fish into his kin. Then he carefully raised it at home and netted plenty of companions for it from the river.

Some time later, large numbers of little fish hatched from their eggs.

Brahman raised them until they were grown, then released most of them into the river. All that remained was to wait for time to pass.

As long as these kin remained alive, they would continuously provide him with power and form Fruits of the Ocean's Amrita. Even if they died, their remaining power would become his.

As for why he chose animals instead of people, there was only one reason: humans reproduced too slowly.

If he really chose humans as his kin, it would take ages for him to grow stronger.

Time passed quietly. Uchiha Brahman didn't act like a transmigrator at all. He stuck to his old routine and did nothing.

But he wasn't really doing nothing.

Cockroaches, rats, flies, fish. After using four-sixths of his ocular power, he contracted a new creature: mosquitoes.

And after his kin had multiplied in great numbers, his ocular power recovered somewhat. On top of his original capacity, he could now contract two more kinds of kin.
