Rin held a kunai against her own throat. Its sharp blade easily cut through the fair skin, and bright red blood slowly trickled down.
Obito Uchiha immediately stopped moving. He stared blankly at Rin, the goddess in his heart.
"Obito, you've disappointed me so much!"
Rin looked at Obito with utter disappointment. A thick wall now stood between them. They no longer belonged to the same world.
She, Nohara Rin, was a rightful citizen of the Empire, a real person, a Kshatriya. But Obito—her former teammate and friend—was now nothing but a commoner, a stray dog. If not for their past, she wouldn't even glance at a stray dog dying by the roadside.
"Obito!"
Nohara Rin moved the kunai in her hand, letting more blood flow.
"If you dare show disrespect to the great Lord Brahman, I'll kill myself! Kakashi killed me once. Do you want to kill me once, too? Didn't you want to create a world with me in it? I'm right here, aren't I? Come on! Get down on your knees before the great Lord Brahman! Then you can still be my friend!"
Rin looked at Obito and spoke with a fervor bordering on madness.
"N-no... no... that's... that's not how it is... no..."
Obito shook his head frantically. Faced with this situation, he completely lost his composure. The convictions and beliefs he had clung to for so long began to crumble, leaving him utterly lost.
This really was Rin! She had truly come back to life. But this wasn't how Obito had imagined it!
Why? Why had this happened?
He suddenly turned a ferocious gaze on Uchiha Brahman, staring at the smile on his face.
"Guaah!!!"
Obito let out a frantic scream, but he couldn't do anything. He didn't dare rush forward. He didn't dare lay
