"Obito, get off me! If you hit me again, I'm going to fight back?" Yun Jian struggled, and struggled again, but Obito remained firmly on top. He landed another punch, "Why don't you fight back!"
It was a shame that without the Sharingan, Yun Jian was evenly matched with Obito, who hadn't even activated his own. Yun Jian was pinned down by Obito, finding it difficult even to struggle.
One Uchiha called out, "Obito, get up quickly, Yun Jian just finished surgery." Another person also called out, "Get up quickly."
A cluster of thick, pale yellow nerve bundles, like the roots of an old tree, crawled out from the tent behind them.
In an instant, they passed between Yun Jian and Obito.
A nerve bundle immediately split into countless fine streams, as thick as a thumb, surging forth. They began to wrap around the two's fingers and palms, then their wrists, forearms, elbows, all the way to their shoulders. The two were instantly pulled apart.
But it wasn't over. These nerve bundles continued to wrap, layering around their entire bodies. The ends remained poised, covering the acupoints on their bodies.
Yun Jian and Obito were like they were wrapped in tree roots, about ten feet apart, lifted about a meter off the ground.
Uchiha Kin emerged from the tent, one hand connected to these nerves, the other holding onto the tent's steel frame.
"Too noisy! This is a hospital, not a place for you to fool around!" He looked at Yun Jian and sneered, "An inexplicable sense of superiority—if you don't like these eyes, that's your business." He then said to Obito, "You've actually surprised me a little!"
Obito yelled, "If I've surprised you, why aren't you putting me down already? Your ninjutsu is disgusting, just like Orochimaru's!"
Uchiha Kin grunted and retracted the nerves back into his body. The two suddenly fell to the ground.
To the surprise of the two Uchiha, Yun Jian and Obito landed on their butts simultaneously, falling with a yelp. They got up, rubbing their behinds and grimacing.
Nohara Rin and Kakashi felt too embarrassed to watch. One was glad he was wearing a mask, while the other turned his head towards Uchiha Kin and gave him a slight smile, dimples appearing at the corners of his mouth.
The other two Uchiha pulled Yun Jian aside and apologized to Uchiha Kin, "Kin, I'm sorry. He just lost his eyes and was hit hard."
"I can see that," Uchiha Kin replied casually, nodding to them. The two felt relieved and left with Yun Jian.
"Why is he like that? He didn't even apologize, you saved him for nothing," Obito said indignantly on behalf of Uchiha Kin.
Uchiha Kin was indifferent, "Anyway, they already dislike me, an Uchiha who's 'not doing his job right'. It's not just one or two... Aren't you, who hasn't even awakened your Sharingan, always calling others 'trash'?"
Provoked, Obito shouted, "You bastard, I was speaking up for you just now! You might be trash, but you did save him."
He then puffed out his chest, looking righteous... thinking to himself, I'm just that fair about debts, one is one, two is two.
Uchiha Kin smiled.
Obito continued, "If you don't want people to look down on you, you need to prove yourself the Uchiha way—your tool manipulation is undeniably the best among the Uchiha. No one denies that. If you go to the front lines, you'll be able to slaughter your way through!
"You clearly have such tool manipulation skills, yet you insist on hiding in the hospital. Do you know what they say about you?"
Uchiha Kin guessed, "Coward?"
"How did you know?" Obito looked surprised.
Uchiha Kin glanced at the surrounding tents, listening to the groans of the wounded, and said to Obito, "Compared to the front lines, this is my battlefield. The front lines don't lack a fighter, but here, we lack a qualified doctor.
"Here, many people who should have died from their injuries can live and jump around. Many who should have been crippled can remain whole.
"When I save someone, I save a family. Their father, mother, wife, will be able to keep their loved one because of me. On this battlefield, how many lives will Konoha save because of me? How many people will recover here and return to the battlefield?
"When I save people, I'm killing the enemy," Uchiha Kin smiled at Obito, "And when I go to the front lines to fight, that's actually a waste."
Obito said, "But people will look down on you like this. Especially those in the clan who have awakened their Sharingan."
Uchiha Kin stepped closer and gently poked Obito's chest, "Don't live by others' evaluations.
"Every individual is independent and unique. Everyone's life is like a leaf; they look similar but are actually different. Live your own brilliant life, ask your heart if you're living the life you want.
"For example, you... do you understand your true inner thoughts? No, you don't. Like many others, you're muddled and confused.
"Born into a chaotic world, like a puppet, following rules set by someone unknown, operating numbly. You shout, you laugh, your so-called pride—when you truly, calmly examine yourself, ask yourself, what is that?"
"What is it?" Obito felt a sense of fear and instinctively took a step back.
Uchiha Kin said three words: "You're insecure."
Obito was stunned for a moment, then reacted and yelled, "Ah, you bastard, I'm going to kill you!" He raised his fist as if to fool around and swung it at Uchiha Kin.
His fist was halfway out when Nohara Rin grabbed it. He turned his head slowly, like a paused frame, to look at Nohara Rin.
Nohara Rin called out, "Obito," and then said to Uchiha Kin, "Sorry. Obito is too impulsive."
Nohara Rin said, "Obito, actually, you're very outstanding." Hearing this, Obito's face lit up with joy. He continued, "Being grouped with Kakashi already proves your excellence. Out of so many classmates, not everyone has that qualification." Obito drooped for a moment, then perked up again...
Obito was unhappy when Nohara Rin mentioned "Kakashi," but he was happy when she indirectly praised him.
Uchiha Kin said, "Yeah, just a little worse than Kakashi."
"Kin-senpai!" Nohara Rin chided him.
Honestly, he knows Obito's personality so well, yet he still says things like that, deliberately provoking Obito. I just managed to calm him down.
She felt it was too difficult for her.
Minato Namikaze, with one arm in a sling and a gentle smile on his face, approached from a distance. He had sustained a minor injury to his arm during a clash with Rock Ninja, a hairline fracture in his forearm, which had already been healed by the Mystical Palm Technique but still needed to be immobilized for another day or two.
"Teacher!" "Teacher, are you better?" The three quickly greeted Minato. Obito was even more direct: "Teacher, can you teach us to train these past two days?"
