• Su Yu declared that the Defense, Strength, Agility, and Breaking Clans had united under him and Tang Yuehua, and the gathered families pledged to follow them.
• Tang Yuehua welcomed the four Clan Leaders and their clans into Jiejiao, promising that they would protect one another and work together.
• Su Yu announced a competition for the younger generation, with an attribute-matched Soul Bone for each clan's winning disciple.
• Yang Wudi asked to compete for a Soul Bone, and Tai Tan and Bai He showed interest, but Su Yu kept the competition limited to the younger generation.

The Heaven Dou Empire division qualifiers began, and the first match was set between Blazing Academy and Blue Tyrant Academy. After Xue Qinghe predicted Blue Tyrant Academy would win, both teams released their Martial Souls as the battle started.

• Su Yu reassured Dugu Yan, Ning Rongrong, and Zhu Qing after they teased him about treating them as special.

• Ma Hongjun, Zhu Qing, Ning Rongrong, Xiao Wu, and Dugu Yan revealed their Martial Souls and Soul Rings, stunning the venue with three Spirit Kings and Dugu Yan’s six-ring Spirit Emperor strength.
• Xue Ye praised Ning Rongrong and Dugu Yan, while Ning Fengzhi and Dugu Bo credited their hard work and opportunities.

Zhu Qing’s Nether Slash rapidly weakened Blazing Academy, while Xiao Wu protected Zhu Qing from Huo Wu and Huo Wushuang’s combined attack with her Invincible Golden Body. Xiao Wu then launched a relentless aerial assault on Huo Wushuang, interrupting his attempts to use Soul Skills.

• Zhu Qing’s Nether Slash broke through Blazing Academy’s defenses, knocking three Soul Masters unconscious and injuring the Flame Chariot and Blazing Monkey Soul Masters.
• Huo Wu and Huo Wushuang attacked Zhu Qing together with Phantom Flame Whirlwind and Fire Dragon Assault.
• Xiao Wu used Invincible Golden Body to take both attacks without injury and shield Zhu Qing.

Xiao Wu and Zhu Qing quickly eliminated Blazing Academy’s fighters until only Huo Wu remained. As Tang San and Ma Hongjun failed to break through Huo Wu’s defenses, Xiao Wu struck her and revealed that her movement was teleportation.

• Xiao Wu defeated Huo Wushuang with a final kick, while Zhu Qing took out the Blazing Academy members beside Huo Wu.
• Huo Wu realized she was the last Blazing Academy fighter and vowed to keep fighting as the crowd praised Blue Tyrant Academy.
• Ma Hongjun attacked Huo Wu from the air with Phoenix Fireline, but her Resist Fire Ring repeatedly blocked his flames and forced him off the arena.

• Huo Wu attacked Xiao Wu with her fourth soul skill, but Xiao Wu used Golden Body to withstand the fireball unharmed.
• Xiao Wu kicked Huo Wu out of combat, and the host declared Blue Tyrant Academy the winner.
• Xue Ye asked Dugu Bo whether Dugu Yan was betrothed, then hinted at a marriage alliance with Xue Qinghe; Dugu Bo refused to engage with the suggestion.

Su Yu accepted Huo Wu’s invitation to tea, and they discussed Blazing Academy’s upcoming match against Skywater Academy. When Huo Wu asked why Su Yu considered the tournament meaningless, he said that if he competed, the other teams would have no chance of winning.

• After the matches were suspended, Ning Rongrong took Zhu Qing, Xiao Wu, and the others to stroll around Heaven Dou City while Su Yu headed toward Moonlight Pavilion.
• Huo Wu approached Su Yu and invited him to have tea, and he accepted.
• As they walked to a teahouse, Huo Wu spoke confidently about defeating Shui Bing’er and leading Blazing Academy against Skywater Academy.

Su Yu revealed to Huo Wu that he was a Soul Douluo with eight hundred-thousand-year Soul Rings, leaving her infatuated and determined to pursue him. The next day, Xiao Wu began Blue Tyrant Academy's match against Thunderclap Academy, and Lei Dong launched the first attack.

• Su Yu showed Huo Wu his Immortal Slaying Array Diagram and eight hundred-thousand-year Soul Rings, convincing her that he was a Soul Douluo.
• After returning to Blazing Academy's hotel, Huo Wu imagined being with Su Yu and decided she needed to take the initiative.

Xiao Wu fought Yu Tianxin after defeating five Thunderclap Academy members, relying on her agility and soul skills to evade his powerful lightning attacks. Badly injured and out of uses of her Invincible Golden Body, she remained determined to continue as Yu Tianxin launched another strike.

• Xiao Wu refused Ning Rongrong's suggestion to rest and faced Yu Tianxin, Thunderclap Academy's last remaining fighter.
• Yu Tianxin activated Wrath of the Thunder God and attacked Xiao Wu with lightning-wreathed dragon claws; she used Charm and Teleportation to evade him.
• Yu Tianxin used Blue Electric Dragon Swiftness, and Xiao Wu's Invincible Golden Body held against him until she ran out of its ten daily uses.
• Yu Tianxin's glancing blow seriously injured Xiao Wu, but she refused to give up and prepared to use Teleportation again.
• Yu Tianxin launched another Blue Electric Dragon Swiftness, and Xiao Wu teleported twice in succession to dodge it.

Xiao Wu used her newly revealed Fifth Soul Skill to defeat Yu Tianxin and lead Blue Tyrant Academy to a decisive victory over Thunderclap Academy. Later, Su Yu and the others discovered that Shi Nian had lured them into an illusion, where he introduced himself as the leader of Canghui Academy and a Soul Saint.

• Xiao Wu used Charm and Soft Bone Lock to suppress Yu Tianxin, who fainted before the referee declared her the winner.
• Xiao Wu’s victory completed her run of defeating six Thunderclap Academy opponents in succession, and her friends celebrated before taking her for treatment.
• Ning Rongrong, Zhu Qing, Dugu Yan, and Su Yu went shopping, then realized they had been walking in circles on the way to Tiandou Tavern.
• Su Yu stopped the group and called out Shi Nian, revealing that he had noticed the illusion but followed it to learn what Shi Nian intended.
• Shi Nian changed the street into a desolate wilderness and introduced himself as Canghui Academy’s leader, a seventy-second-level Control System Soul Saint with the Martial Soul Remnant Dream.

Shi Nian ambushed Su Yu and the others with his Remnant Dream illusions, intending to kill them so Canghui Academy could advance. Su Yu broke the illusion with his eight Hundred Thousand Year Soul Rings, wounded Shi Nian, and killed him.

• Shi Nian revealed that Canghui Academy would face Blue Tyrant Academy and threatened to kill Su Yu and the others so no one would learn of his attack.
• Shi Nian used his Remnant Dream Martial Soul to trap the group in a terrifying illusion and tried to break their minds.
• Su Yu summoned the Immortal Slaying Array Diagram and revealed eight Hundred Thousand Year Soul Rings, dispelling the black mist and collapsing the illusion.

Su Yu killed Shi Nian, and Blue Tyrant Academy won the Promotion Tournament before the Heaven Dou teams set out for Spirit City. Their journey ended in a deadly valley ambush, where Xue Qinghe, Prince Xue Xing, and the students were surrounded by a large force of masked attackers.

• Su Yu's Eight Spider Lances pierced Shi Nian and dissolved his body, leaving a low-age head Soul Bone that Su Yu collected without absorbing.
• Blue Tyrant Academy finished first in the Promotion Tournament, followed by Heaven Dou Royal Academy First Team and Godwind Academy.
• Xue Ye appointed Xue Qinghe and Prince Xue Xing as envoys to accompany the fifteen teams to Spirit City, guarded by Royal Knights and three Soul Douluo.

The Royal Knights, students, and academy leaders fought off the black-clad attackers as Shui Bing'er, Shui Yue'er, and Xue Wu used their fusion skill to freeze the front ranks. After the fusion skill was shattered, Su Yu intervened and sliced apart a Soul Saint's attack, leaving the enemy beginning to activate his Martial Soul Avatar.

• A black-clad attacker spat corrosive poison blood onto a Royal Knight's armor, and the knights tightened their defensive formation after an experienced knight warned them about poison pills.
• Shui Bing'er, Shui Yue'er, and Xue Wu combined their Soul Power to use Ice Snow Falling, freezing dozens of attackers and forming an ice wall.
• A black-clad Soul Saint broke the fusion skill with Blazing Lion Roar, but Su Yu appeared and cut the Soul Saint across the chest with a sword strike.
• The Soul Saint fired Lion King Blazing Light Wave at Su Yu, who sliced the beam in two with the Slaying Immortal Sword.
• The black-clad Soul Saint began activating his Seventh Soul Skill to manifest the Red Mane Lion King Martial Soul Avatar.

Su Yu killed the Red Mane Lion King and repelled Chrysanthemum Douluo’s attack, but Dugu Bo stepped in to protect him and began battling Chrysanthemum Douluo. Their fight continued as Dugu Bo shattered Chrysanthemum Douluo’s golden energy blade with his defensive skill.

• Su Yu decapitated the Red Mane Lion King with the Immortal Slaying Sword as his Martial Soul Avatar was forming.
• Two black-clad Soul Douluo moved to attack Su Yu, but Chrysanthemum Douluo drove them back with golden petals.
• Chrysanthemum Douluo tested Su Yu, and the Immortal Slaying Sword cut his cheek after knocking away his petals.
• Dugu Bo appeared to protect Su Yu, and he and Chrysanthemum Douluo clashed with their Martial Souls.
• Chrysanthemum Douluo’s Fifth Soul Skill struck Dugu Bo’s Emperor’s Protection, but Dugu Bo broke the golden energy blade.

Chrysanthemum Douluo and Gui Mei attacked Dugu Bo, and their combined assault wounded and restrained him. Su Daji arrived, rescued Dugu Bo, and forced the two Spirit Hall Douluo to retreat.

• Chrysanthemum Douluo attacked Dugu Bo with his Golden Stamen Flowing Clouds skill, but Dugu Bo blocked the petals with Jade Phosphorous Storm.
• Dugu Bo counterattacked with poison, and Chrysanthemum Douluo called for Gui Mei to join the fight.
• Gui Mei trapped Dugu Bo with Ghost Shadow Pool Hand, allowing Chrysanthemum Douluo's petals to wound him.
• Su Daji appeared and used her Nine-tailed Fox power to erase the petals and free Dugu Bo from the shadows.
• Gui Mei ordered Chrysanthemum Douluo to retreat, and the two departed after threatening Dugu Bo and Su Yu.

Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo retreated after Ghost Douluo sensed that Su Daji might rival Spirit Hall’s Great Enshrined, then returned to report to the Pope. Yu Xiaogang met Bibi Dong in the Pope Palace and asked her for a favor.

• Ghost Douluo told Chrysanthemum Douluo that Su Daji’s strength might rival the Great Enshrined and persuaded him that fighting her was too risky.
• Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo headed back to Spirit City to report to the Pope.
• Yu Xiaogang entered the Pope Palace using his elder token and waited for Bibi Dong.
• Bibi Dong met Yu Xiaogang, told him to address her as the Pope, and heard that he had come to ask for a favor.

Bibi Dong refused Yu Xiaogang’s request to explain how to cultivate Twin Martial Souls and drove him out. After hearing Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo’s report about Su Yu and the powerful Su Daji, she ordered Spirit Hall to watch them without acting rashly; the chapter ended with Xue Qinghe counting the Royal Knights’ casualties in the valley.

• Yu Xiaogang asked Bibi Dong for the secret of cultivating Twin Martial Souls to help his disciple, but Bibi Dong rejected him and threw him out of Pope Palace.
• Bibi Dong ordered Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo to report after learning their mission against Su Yu had failed.
• Chrysanthemum Douluo told Bibi Dong that Su Yu’s attacks rivaled those of an ordinary Titled Douluo and that Su Daji, whose Martial Soul was a Nine-tailed Fox, seemed as powerful as the Great Enshrined.
• Bibi Dong ordered Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo to monitor Su Yu and Su Daji and not act rashly.
• In the valley, Xue Qinghe checked the Royal Knights’ casualties and found that only a little over two hundred of the original five hundred could still stand.

After the party reached Spirit City, Bibi Dong summoned Su Yu and forbade him from being with Qian Renxue, revealing her hatred over her past. Su Yu confronted her about that hatred, and Bibi Dong attacked him, but he stopped her Soul Power with the Immortal Slaying Sword and a formation.

• Xue Qinghe and Xue Xing sent twenty men back to Heaven Dou City with the gravely wounded Soul Douluo enshrined expert while the others continued to Spirit City.
• Five days later, the group arrived in Spirit City, where Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo came to Su Yu's room and brought him to meet Bibi Dong.
• Bibi Dong dismissed the two Douluo and told Su Yu that he and Qian Renxue would never be together while she was alive.
• Su Yu challenged Bibi Dong to let go of her past, and she erupted in anger over Qian Renxue being Qian Xunji's daughter.
