Having shaken off the strange snake, Lin Ming adjusted his breathing as he continued resisting the increasingly heavy, yin-cold water pressure and erosion around him. His gaze flashed like lightning as he swept it toward the deeper darkness below.
Suddenly, at the end of that seemingly eternal darkness, far, far beneath him, an extremely faint yet unusually steady pale blue light quietly entered his senses and vision like a lone star in the night.
The light was not burning hot. Instead, it carried an even deeper, more ancient chill. Yet in this underwater world completely dominated by dark yellow and pitch black, this trace of differently colored light stood out like a beacon!
"It's there!" Lin Ming immediately understood. After the long descent, resisting the cold and escaping the snake swarm, his destination was finally before him!
His spirits abruptly soared. The turbulent qi and blood within him, stirred by his consecutive bursts of power, calmed as well. Not only did he not slow down in the slightest, he accelerated again and shot toward the pale blue light!
After some time, as the distance rapidly closed, that speck of pale blue light gradually grew larger and clearer in his eyes.
He finally pierced through the final layer of water, which was especially viscous and whose yin cold force had nearly condensed into a tangible liquid, arriving in a strange expanse of water shrouded in light.
"Is this... the bottom of the Nine Nether Yellow Springs?"
The bottom here was occupied by an enormous expanse of sand and stone. It was not ordinary silt or rock, but was paved with countless snow-white fragments of varying sizes, most of them as large as an adult's fist.
These fragments possessed an unusual texture and emitted a soft, steady white glow throughout their bodies.
