When he heard Stephen A. Smith, Nicholas Zhao Si shook his head beside him.
"You should stop making excuses. A true star shines wherever he goes. Only people without real talent make excuses and come up with all kinds of reasons."
Stephen A. Smith glanced at Nicholas Zhao Si and mercilessly dug into his old wounds. "Do you think losing everything you own wasn't enough? You want to try again?"
Nicholas Zhao Si felt a pang in his heart.
Man, that hit hard.
Still, he stubbornly held his head high and said:
"I'm just telling the truth."
At courtside, the All-Stars watched Wemby struggle in the first quarter, and each of them secretly felt pleased.
As Wemby left the court, he glanced at the stars.
So this is what you call ganging up on me? You just won't pass me the ball? That's all you've got?
The Western All-Stars' head coach was Lakers head coach Darwin Ham.
Darwin Ham and King Arthur were naturally in cahoots.
When Wemby tried to get going in the second quarter, Ham immediately sent him to the bench.
"Wemby, you don't seem to be in great shape today. Take a little break."
He wasn't worried in the slightest that Wemby's fans would make a fuss.
If they did, he had one excuse: Wemby had played poorly in the first quarter.
Wemby frowned and looked at Darwin Ham.
So it wasn't just those players working together against me. There's the coach, too.
That made things a little troublesome.
He could think of ways to deal with the players who wouldn't pass him the ball.
But if the coach simply refused to put him on the court, then even if he could think of a way to get back at him, he couldn't do it right now.
