Derrick Rose had barely played at all this season. He'd appeared in ten games total, averaging only about three minutes per game.
And now that they were in the playoffs, he hadn't appeared once.
What was the point of putting him in now and telling everyone to pass him the ball more?
He was almost forty-three, after all. And because he'd suffered so many injuries when he was young, he could no longer run or jump very high.
Driving to the basket was out of the question, too.
Having everyone pass him the ball more at a time like this clearly made no sense.
But since Wang Yi had said it, the players were confused, yet still nodded one after another.
Rose looked bewildered.
Why did Wang Yi trust him so much?
Just then, Wang Yi patted Rose on the shoulder.
"Count on you!"
The moment he patted Rose's shoulder, a system notification suddenly sounded in his mind:
[Buff applied successfully. Derrick Rose will possess 80% of the host's physical abilities.]
At the same time,
when Wang Yi patted Rose's shoulder, Rose felt his body tremble slightly, as if a warm current were flowing through him.
But the sensation vanished in an instant.
Rose looked at Wang Yi in surprise. Wang Yi didn't seem any different, though, so Rose could only think to himself, Maybe I imagined it.
Perhaps it was because he hadn't played in so long. Now that he was back on the court in the playoffs, his passion was starting to burn again.
So he nodded at Wang Yi. "Don't worry. I'll give it everything I've got!"
The Kings' five substitutes took the court.
The Kings had the ball first.
As Little Danny dribbled across half court, the Lakers didn't put much pressure on him.
