Phil Jackson was full of praise for how Wang Yi was dealing with the three towers.
But Popovich raised another question:
"Using the little guys' three-point shooting and mobility on offense to deal with the three towers is fine. The problem is on defense. How are their five little guys supposed to stop the other team's three towers?"
"If the Lakers just pass the ball inside, won't their three towers be able to score at will?"
Phil Jackson nodded.
"The biggest problem is that the other team also has Doug. They have to deal with him as well as the three towers. That guy is no pushover."
At that moment, a Lakers player dribbled into the Kings' backcourt, and they began setting up their half-court offense.
King Arthur dribbled on the perimeter.
Danny was guarding him, while Mouth Brother stood nearby, ready to come over and double-team at any moment.
Arthur had gotten smarter. He passed the ball straight inside.
The pass sailed easily into Thick Eyebrows' hands.
Two Kings players immediately moved in to double-team Thick Eyebrows.
That left Thick Eyebrows unable to do anything with the ball, so he passed it to Gordon.
Two Kings players immediately went to guard him.
Gordon couldn't do anything with the ball, so he passed it to Doug.
Doug wasn't much of a self-created scoring threat, but he went straight inside, leading with his elbows.
After knocking aside the Kings defender, he immediately passed the ball to Thick Eyebrows.
Westbrook's chest was left aching from the collision, and Mane's shoulder throbbed.
That guy Doug was as solid as a rock. Even if a collision with him didn't leave you injured, it still hurt like hell.
Now that Doug had passed the ball, no one was left who could get to Thick Eyebrows.
