By the time dinner with Ling Wei was over, it was already one in the morning.
Since the neighborhood wasn't very safe, Wang Yi called a cab and personally saw Ling Wei home.
Ling Wei didn't refuse.
He walked her to the entrance of the apartment building she was renting, and the two said goodbye.
"Wang Yi, I hope we can see each other again."
Wang Yi nodded. "Yeah. See you next time."
Ling Wei stood in front of the entrance and watched Wang Yi get into the cab, waving goodbye to him.
When the cab disappeared around a distant street corner, Ling Wei felt a little forlorn.
After a moment, she shook her head and went inside.
Meanwhile, back in China,
the fans were all incredibly excited.
At a university,
a bespectacled student had just brought four meals back to his dorm when he heard his three roommates excitedly talking inside.
He didn't open the door. Instead, he stopped outside.
Whenever those three roommates got this excited, they were either talking about girls or video games.
He wasn't interested in video games, but he was interested in girls.
The problem was, he was terrible at interacting with girls. Even talking to them made him blush.
So he wanted to pick up a few tips from his roommates.
Then one of them shouted,
"I told you from the start that Brother Yi would make it! You two just wouldn't believe me. Wasn't that go-ahead bucket today incredible? Wasn't that game-winning block incredible? Tell me, wasn't it awesome? Do your faces hurt yet?"
One of the roommates chuckled awkwardly and said,
