During the trash-talk segment, not a single player from either team said anything provocative.

That left all the reporters at a loss.

Fortunately, the fans here in Salt Lake City brought plenty of fire of their own.

No matter which team they played, the fans here were always enthusiastic, fired up, and full of energy.

They acted as if the opposing players were the old guy next door, Old Wang, and they couldn't wait to devour them alive.

So a few reporters headed outside right after the pregame press conference.

The Jazz played their home games at EnergySolutions Arena.

It was January, and the weather in Utah was still quite cold.

The snow piled along both sides of the road hadn't melted yet.

The sky was rather gloomy.

The fans were bundled up in thick clothing, and their breath showed clearly when they spoke.

But every one of them was in high spirits.

A slightly chubby male reporter wore thick leather gloves.

He stopped two fans and asked them:

"The Lakers are on a five-game winning streak. Now that they've come to Salt Lake City, how are you going to welcome them?"

Of course, he meant the opposite.

The meaning of "welcome" was obvious.

The two fans were a father and son.

The father laughed and spoke into the microphone:

"We won't let them leave here alive!"

His son snatched the microphone and made a fierce face as he said:

"We'll roast the Lakers! Hahahaha!"

Afterward, the father and son slapped their hands together with a loud smack.

They flexed their muscles and shouted in unison:

"Jazz are unbeatable!"

The reporter nodded to himself.
