James was coming.

James picked up the phone soon after.
Wang Yi skipped the small talk and got straight to the point. "If we draft Bronny..."
Before he could finish, James cut him off. "I've been waiting for this call. If you draft Bronny, this will be my last season."
Wang Yi understood.
Still, he joked, "Then maybe we shouldn't draft him. I want to watch you play a few more seasons."
James laughed. "If I can play alongside Bronny, I don't see any reason to play another season after that."
They both burst out laughing.
Finally, Wang Yi asked the question. "If you come, the Kings..."
James was a sharp man and had already guessed what Wang Yi was going to ask.
He answered directly. "The Kings are your team. They are now, and they always will be."
Wang Yi smiled. "Got it."
Then he ended the call.
If James had hesitated for even a second, Wang Yi would have refused to let him join the Kings.
It wasn't that Wang Yi had gotten too big for his boots and no longer cared about his brother.
Off the court, they were still brothers.
But what happened on the court couldn't be summed up by simply calling someone a brother.
Fortunately, James was highly tactful.
