Something Was Amiss
Around the outskirts of the grotto-heaven, Void Refining Cultivators opened the tower gates one after another and led their disciples inside.
At Shi Yue's instruction, Li Feiyu stayed outside, keeping his eyes fixed on the phantom of the Green Giant Pagoda.
Suddenly, the phantom of the Green Giant Pagoda shook violently, then abruptly turned into specks of green light and vanished, as though it had never existed.
Li Feiyu gaped at the sight. A thought suddenly struck him, and he hurriedly took out his Transmission Mirror to contact Shi Yue.
To his utter shock, the Transmission Mirror did not respond at all.
The other cultivators also took out their Transmission Mirrors to contact their companions inside the grotto-heaven. Without exception, they discovered to their horror that they could not reach them.
"This is bad. Something is amiss here. This may not be a grotto-heaven at all! Hurry and inform the Supreme Elder. Something terrible has happened!"
"Quick, inform the clan leader! Seventh Uncle and the others are still trapped inside!"
The cultivators left outside hurriedly took out their Transmission Mirrors to contact their elders and report what had happened.
Li Feiyu suddenly remembered something and flew into the sky. He intended to contact Li Yao. As Shi Yue's trusted confidant, Li Yao would surely come to Shi Yue's rescue.
Before long, he appeared in a secluded cave, holding a Green Transmission Mirror. Xiaoyaozi appeared on its surface.
"Senior Li, something terrible has happened! The Supreme Elder entered a grotto-heaven, but its entrance suddenly closed. What should we do?" Li Feiyu asked nervously.
If anything happened to Shi Yue, he would not escape the blame.
Thinking it over carefully, he realized there were many holes in the story. How could he have stumbled upon that grotto-heaven so coincidentally?
