Medusa's Little Scheme

"Whoosh..."

The two flew for a long time before finally arriving above a massive oasis deep within the desert.

From a thousand meters in the air, Ye Tian looked down upon the enormous Snake People Holy City. At its very center stood a huge palace, topped with a snake-shaped statue. It was presumably the Holy Temple where Queen Medusa resided. Around the Holy Temple were eight smaller palaces and numerous clusters of sand-colored buildings, which were likely where the Eight Great Tribal Leaders of the Snake People lived.

The Snake People Holy City covered a vast area, with countless lakes scattered throughout. Wherever there was water, there were plants. The area around Medusa's palace had the most vegetation; ahead lay a large bamboo forest, with an enormous lake in its midst. A small island stood at the center of the lake, like a paradise hidden away from the world.

Within the sand-filled Tagor Desert, such a vibrant oasis was exceptionally striking.

"This is the holy city of our Snake People. Follow This King down!"

Medusa spoke indifferently, then pulled Ye Tian toward the center of the holy city.

"If the other Snake People experts spot me, how will they react? Will they jump out and try to kill me?"

Seeing this woman openly bring him down toward the center of the holy city, Ye Tian felt that it would cause quite a commotion.

"It really isn't easy for your Snake People to live in this scorching desert."

Ye Tian looked at the desert oasis ahead. Though it was full of life, compared to the lands beyond the desert, it was still a barren place.

"Isn't that because of you humans? Otherwise, why would we have come to this wasteland?"

"But once This King breaks through to the Dou Zong realm, I will directly seize your humans' territory. We will no longer have to remain trapped in this scorching Tagor Desert."

Whenever Queen Medusa thought of the conflict between the Snake People and humans, anger rose in her heart.

Queen Medusa gave a seductive smile. She guessed that the Little Fellow was definitely searching for the Sand Mandara Spirit Herb, so she decided to scheme against him a little.

Queen Medusa then waved her hand, sending a signal ahead.

"Queen Your Majesty, you have returned."

Before long, a Dou Wang-level woman led a large group of Snake People female Guards out from the distant bamboo forest to greet Queen Medusa.

Medusa glared at Yue Mei and told her to hurry up and get to work.

Unable to withstand Queen Medusa's overwhelming regal aura, Yue Mei immediately withdrew with a group of subordinates to gather the Sand Mandara Spirit Herbs.

"I don't need that many Spirit Herbs. Two plants will be enough."
