Background

Medusa ruled the Snake People from their Holy City in the Tagor Desert. Bitter over human persecution and the capture of Snake People, she initially intended to lead her people into human territory once she reached Dou Ancestor. Her goal was instead redirected toward relocation and rebuilding the tribe beyond the desert. 50 59 64

As queen, she risked her life to obtain the Green Lotus Core Flame, swimming through underground magma despite the Snake People's innate fear of fire. The attempt left violent fire poison within her body, but she regarded such sacrifices as her responsibility to the Snake People. 52

She encountered Ye Tian while investigating reports of a young human in the desert. Initially attempting to seize him, she brought him to the Holy City and withheld the Sand Mandara he sought to ensure his help with her evolution. 48 50
