Background

Tang Wulin met Fang Yang on his sixth birthday at Red Mountain Academy's Martial Soul Awakening Day. Though Fang Yang encouraged him, Tang Wulin awakened Blue Silver Grass and initially regarded it as useless. He nevertheless persisted in cultivation and became Mang Tian's forging disciple. 1 3 9

Despite possessing only Innate Level 3 Soul Power, Tang Wulin reached Rank 10 in three years. He and Fang Yang graduated from Red Mountain Academy with recommendations for intermediate Soul Master academies. 13

When a random draw at the Spirit Pagoda gave him a defective Grass Snake Soul Spirit, Tang Wulin broke down after years of effort. Fang Yang rendered him unconscious, removed the Golden Dragon King Divine Core from his body, and refined his remaining bloodlines with Sea God Power and Heavenly Flame. Tang Wulin emerged with the Sea God Blue Silver Emperor and Asura Clear Sky Hammer, then received a Hundred Year Mandala Snake Soul Spirit from Fang Yang. 17 19

At East Sea Academy, Tang Wulin entered Class Five and became part of Wu Changkong's core training group alongside Fang Yang, Gu Yue, and Xie Xie. Wu Changkong recognized his evolving Blue Silver Emperor bloodline and instructed him to keep the Clear Sky Hammer hidden. 23 26 34

Tang Wulin eventually confronted Fang Yang over the alteration of his Martial Souls. Although Fang Yang admitted taking something from him, Tang Wulin chose not to hate him and affirmed that Tang Ziran and Lang Yue would always be his parents. 292

He can become fiercely angry when others mistreat him or his friends, particularly when Xie Xie insulted his belongings in their dormitory. Even so, he is forgiving and readily accepts former opponents as companions. 22

He values family, repayment, and personal integrity. He insists on repaying Fang Yang's loan despite receiving a valuable Battle Armor blueprint, and later refuses to let the truth of his birth erase his bond with Tang Ziran and Lang Yue. 77 292
