A figure stood atop a mountain in Hellfire Peninsula, coldly watching the long line of people below at the Dark Portal.
"What are they doing?"
The one standing there was a tall elven man with demonic horns and wings. His name was Illidan. He had once been a renowned figure among the Night Elves, and in fact, Illidan was still very famous now.
During the battle against the Burning Legion ten thousand years ago, Illidan fought all the way to the end. However, because his methods had been too extreme, he was imprisoned by his own people after the battle ended.
Ten thousand years later, he escaped once again and came to Outland. Illidan's goal had never changed: oppose the Burning Legion and destroy Sargeras. To that end, he raised an army in Outland, attacked the Black Temple built by the Demons, and trained a group of Demon Hunters born specifically to hunt Demons.
To Illidan, this was only the beginning. As long as he could defeat the Burning Legion, he did not care what price he had to pay.
The Alliance Expeditionary Force had caught Illidan's attention when it first appeared, but he had not cared about the Alliance. However, when the Inquisition appeared, Illidan changed his mind. He did not know where this mysterious force had come from, but one thing was certain: they possessed enough power to fight and destroy the Burning Legion.
Illidan had originally intended to find an opportunity to contact this mysterious force known as the Inquisition. However, to his surprise, after entering Outland, they did not advance inward as he had expected. Instead, they simply stopped at the Dark Portal and did not move. Not only that, the Alliance Expeditionary Force that had previously advanced deep into Outland had actually withdrawn as well!
