Duanmu Huai raised his head, stood up, and curiously sized up the group of warriors before him.
From the Power Armor they wore, it was obvious that these soldiers were Astartes. Duanmu Huai could even identify from their distinctive decorations that they belonged to a Space Wolves Chapter. But that wasn't important. What mattered was what came after. Duanmu Huai glanced over the wolf cubs before him, then shifted his gaze behind them. Two people stood there, wearing armor almost identical to his own.
A man and a woman.
Apart from the patterns on their armor perhaps being less ornate and exquisite than Duanmu Huai's, they were similar in every other respect.
Hmm, two Inquisitors. How interesting.
"Yo, hello."
Duanmu Huai raised his hand and greeted everyone, while the latter watched him warily and tightened their grips on their weapons. Then the older-looking Inquisitor standing at the back spoke up.
"Who are you?"
"I'm Grand Inquisitor Duanmu Huai."
Duanmu Huai shrugged. He wasn't lying; that was his identity.
"I didn't know the Inquisition had sent someone else to investigate this Space Hulk."
"If only I had come here to investigate."
Duanmu Huai curled his lips helplessly.
"Unfortunately, I didn't. I was trapped here. Before you arrived, I was just walking around and killing anything that dared to stand in my way. It's as simple as that."
"So, you're a prisoner?"
At this moment, the other, younger female Inquisitor spoke up.
"You could say that. In any case, it's not like I can jump out of this wreck and swim somewhere else, right?"
Duanmu Huai spread his hands and looked at them.
"All right, everyone, what are you doing here? I can't exactly offer proper hospitality, but if you need help with anything, I can lend you a hand. All you
