Due to Duanmu Huai's outburst, the Inquisition lost two fleets. Duanmu Huai had nothing to say about it. That didn't mean everyone else did, however. For example, after Maria grew tired of being pestered by Duanmu Huai's repeated questioning, she simply shoved him outside.
"If Inquisitor Lord has so much free time, go collect more supplies. We don't have enough at the moment!"
Since Maria had put it that way, Duanmu Huai didn't have much more to say. After all, he really had been the one to destroy those fleets. Since he was idle anyway, Duanmu Huai returned to the Inquisition's main camp in the Boundary God Galaxy, where he was in charge of overseeing the collection and transportation of supplies. It also gave him a chance to familiarize Kurokawa Akane with the environment and give her a concrete understanding of the Inquisition's work.
As for the supplies themselves, they weren't difficult to find. Duanmu Huai contacted the Merchant Rogue Dadanier directly and asked him to send over the required goods. Dadanier's commercial alliance had been thriving during this period, growing extremely prosperous and earning him a hefty profit. Naturally, Dadanier didn't dare neglect Duanmu Huai's request and agreed at once.
At that moment, the group was standing on the dock, watching the transport fleet enter the port in the distance.
"Now that's spectacular."
Through the floor-to-ceiling window, Kurokawa Akane couldn't help sighing as she watched the scene outside. Transport ships were generally enormous. Although they couldn't match warships in combat power, their sheer size alone was enough to shock people. It made sense, after all. Many ocean-going freighters weren't much smaller than aircraft carriers if one only considered their size, but that didn't mean they could rival destroyers in firepower.
But they really are huge...
