The False Body was an illusory incarnation transformed by the immortal art known as the Gecko Divine Skill. It possessed no independent intelligence. Though it appeared no different from a living person, Shen Mo was in truth controlling it with a divided portion of his mind. When the False Body fell asleep and dreamed, the part of his consciousness residing within it also sank into "slumber."
The sensation was exceedingly strange. Part of his consciousness remained awake, while another part seemed to be dreaming.
Had he not been a great cultivator with a robust Divine Soul and an unyielding Dao Heart, acting in such a manner could easily have left him unable to distinguish dream from reality. Sooner or later, he would have gone mad and become a lunatic bereft of reason!
Shen Mo's eyes half-closed as the awake portion of his consciousness sensed the dreamscape being woven by his "slumbering consciousness."
His consciousness body manifested from within his own dream realm.
