Background

Chen Mengze is Chen An’s only daughter and grew up beside Shen Mo in the River-Facing Sect. Their childhood closeness faded after she matured, entered the Qi Gathering Realm, and became an inner disciple; they then saw little of each other for several years. 7

Her life is defined for many years by the destruction of the Chen Clan and the death of her mother. The Liu and Wu clans’ betrayal and framing of her family leave her determined to gain enough strength to avenge them. This single-minded pursuit initially leads her to reject Shen Mo’s affection and focus entirely on cultivation. 35 140 248

With Shen Mo’s support, Chen Mengze returns to Sishui City under the false identity “Fairy Meng.” She ultimately personally kills the Liu and Wu clans’ Qi Gathering Realm cultivators, including Wu Dayong and Liu Dingjiang, bringing the Chen Clan’s grievance to an end. 250 257
