"Contribution points..."
Yuanen Yehui walked out of the classroom, feeling a headache coming on.
With Ling Luo's token helping her, Yuanen Yehui had entered the Inner Court without any obstacles and become a member of this special class.
There were only two Youth Genius Classes in the Inner Court: the junior class and the Advanced Youth Genius Class.
The junior class was the Youth Genius Class Ling Luo and Na'er had originally been in.
They had not entered the academy through the usual process.
The people there were more or less connected to the academy, or were talented seedlings accidentally discovered by some academy higher-up.
Although Yuanen Yehui had only recently joined Shrek Academy,
she was not much younger or older than Ling Luo and the others.
Thus, she had joined the Advanced Youth Genius Class where Ling Luo and Na'er were now.
The lesson had just covered Battle Armor again, giving Yuanen Yehui an even deeper understanding of humanity's greatest technological creation to date.
Naturally, a trace of yearning rose within her heart.
Especially after learning that most of the students in the class had already made some achievements in Battle Armor.
She had heard that Ling Luo and Na'er both already possessed a complete set of One-Word Battle Armor.
This gave Yuanen Yehui an even stronger sense of urgency.
Yuanen Yehui was proud by nature, and she was unwilling to fall too far behind others.
In fact, Yuanen Yehui had her own Second Profession.
Long before entering Shrek Academy, she had already begun studying a Second Profession.
Her progress had been fairly good as well. She had reached the level where she could begin forging Battle Armor.
But another problem lay before Yuanen Yehui.
She had no resources.
Creating Battle Armor was an undertaking that consumed an enormous amount of resources.
Besides requiring vast quantities of rare metals, it also required the coordinated assistance of practitioners of other Second Professions.
Only then could a complete set of Battle Armor be forged.
Whether it was rare metals or hiring others to complete the remaining steps, both required a great deal of money.
Yuanen Yehui had never been well-off to begin with.
Her relationship with the Yuanen Family was strained, and she did not expect any support from them.
And in Shrek City, such resources were measured in contribution points.
Although Yuanen Yehui could earn some contribution points through her identity as a Soul Master,
the Inner Court also provided Youth Genius Class students with a certain amount of contribution point support.
But that was really only enough to cover her living expenses, with a little left over.
Yet compared to the costs required for Battle Armor, that small remainder was a drop in the bucket.
Whenever earning money came up, Yuanen Yehui felt an unbearable headache.
It troubled her far more than cultivation did.
How was she supposed to earn contribution points?
After pondering for a long while, Yuanen Yehui noticed a figure from the corner of her eye.
If it was him, he surely had ways to earn contribution points, right?
Biting her red lip lightly, Yuanen Yehui walked toward him.
"Ling Luo, my sister is coming to dinner with us tonight."
Na'er arrived while pulling Gu Yue along, her eyes filled with displeasure.
That woman was once again using their agreement from back then to make her create opportunities for her.
The Spirit Pagoda had already negotiated with Shrek Academy.
The academy had also agreed to let Gu Yue enter the Inner Court to study.
Part of the reason things had gone so smoothly was Gu Yue's identity as Na'er's "sister."
After all, among Shrek Academy's higher-ups, who did not know that Na'er was the disciple of the Sea God Pavilion Master?
She was one of the Inner Court's most privileged second-generation heirs, second only to Ling Luo.
But given the somewhat tense relationship between Shrek Academy and the Spirit Pagoda, it was clearly impossible for Gu Yue to access some of the academy's core affairs.
Gu Yue did not care about that, however.
The only reason she had come was for Ling Luo.
Na'er had imagined Ling Luo refusing, but he merely nodded slightly. "Sure."
Although Na'er knew that this was the normal answer given Ling Luo's personality, she still could not help feeling disappointed.
Yet she still had to wear a happy smile on her face.
Na'er felt like she was some kind of useless wife now.
Not only did she have to actively help a woman with ulterior motives approach the person she liked, she also had to pretend she was more than willing.
The mighty Great Demon King Na'er had never felt so aggrieved before!
Seeing that Ling Luo's gaze had not lingered on her for even a moment, Gu Yue began to doubt herself.
This was not right, was it?
She had deliberately displayed some of her talent during her introduction just now. It should have made Ling Luo interested in her.
Could her method have been wrong?
Gu Yue pondered inwardly.
At the same time, another figure arrived.
"Thank you."
Yuanen Yehui stepped in front of Ling Luo and spoke softly.
Ling Luo waved his hand dismissively. "You already qualified to enter the Inner Court's genius class. Don't worry about it."
Hearing this, Yuanen Yehui did not leave.
She lowered her little face, seemingly conflicted about something.
Noticing her unusual behavior, Ling Luo took the initiative to ask,
"What is it? Is there a problem?"
"Um, I heard from the other students that Ling Luo, you seem to have a complete set of One-Word Battle Armor?"
"Mm, that's right." Ling Luo nodded. "Why?"
Strictly speaking, it was not One-Word Battle Armor.
Several months ago, Ling Luo had already upgraded his own to Two-Word Battle Armor.
But because he had not displayed his Battle Armor recently, no one besides Na'er, Ya Li, and those close to him knew this information.
To the outside world, Ling Luo was still a First-Rank Battle Armor Master.
After receiving confirmation, a trace of envy flashed through Yuanen Yehui's eyes.
They were about the same age, yet he was already a First-Rank Battle Armor Master while she had not made any progress at all.
Perhaps driven by her desire to catch up, Yuanen Yehui seemed noticeably less restrained.
"It's nothing. I just wanted to ask whether you had any better ways to earn contribution points?"
"Better ways to earn contribution points?" Ling Luo froze.
Yuanen Yehui's question had hit a blind spot in his knowledge.
"Mm." Yuanen Yehui nodded slightly.
"Because forging Battle Armor requires a lot of resources, but I don't have contribution points, so I wanted to ask..."
"But I've never earned contribution points." Ling Luo's answer left Yuanen Yehui stunned.
If Yuanen Yehui had asked about anything else, he could have answered her.
But for this question, Ling Luo genuinely did not know how to respond.
After all, he had never actively earned contribution points before.
Forging Battle Armor required a great deal of contribution points and resources. That was indeed true.
But Ling Luo was not an ordinary student!
He had the Sea God Pavilion Master Yun Ming and the Holy Spirit Douluo Yali backing him.
Why would he need to earn the resources required for forging Battle Armor himself?
Yuanen Yehui came to realize this as well, and a bitter smile appeared on her face.
She had only felt that Ling Luo's status was extraordinary, so perhaps he knew some convenient ways to earn contribution points.
But she had forgotten...
Ling Luo, whose status was anything but ordinary, might not need to earn contribution points to forge Battle Armor at all!
