  • Moves with measured lotus steps and an elegant, dignified bearing. 43

Personality

Nuwa is proud but courteous toward those whose strength and Dao attainments she recognizes. She initially approached Ye Xuan as an envoy of the Heavenly Court, yet accepted his refusal without pressing the matter after realizing he had forged his own path to Sagehood. 44

She is determined and self-directed in pursuing enlightenment. When her cultivation stagnated, she crossed the Primordial World in search of her opportunity, repeatedly experimented with creating life, and sought guidance only after exhausting her own methods. 73 74

Her loyalty is especially evident in her actions for Fuxi. She preserved a trace of his True Spirit after his death, sought Houtu's help with his reincarnation, protected Hua Xu during his birth, and supported his rise as the first Human Emperor. 138 142 144

Background / History

Heavenly Court envoy

Nuwa was sent by the Heavenly Court to invite Ye Xuan to join its conflict against the Twelve Ancestral Witches. She also wished to learn how his Way of Five Elements could reveal the mysteries of other Great Daos. 43

Ye Xuan rejected the Heavenly Court's offer, explaining that he had no need for its destiny to become a Sage. Nuwa recognized the difference between following the Dao Ancestor's Three Corpses path and forging an original path to Sagehood, then requested a Dao discussion instead. 44

The two exchanged insights into the Way of Creation and the Way of Five Elements for six thousand years. Nuwa judged Ye Xuan's Dao attainments far beyond her own, while Ye Xuan gained insight into Creation. 44 Before departing, Nuwa gave him the Primordial Fate Stone, and he gifted her more than a thousand drops of Three Light Divine Water. 45

Creation of the Human Race

Unable to advance further, Nuwa travelled throughout the Primordial World seeking her chance at Sagehood. Seeing every existing race trapped in endless conflict, she concluded that the world needed a powerful race with cultivation talent, combat potential, and no desire for strife. 73

Her first attempts to mold living beings from Innate Spiritual Soil failed; even after combining more than a hundred kinds of spiritual soil with Innate Divine Water, every figure collapsed into dust. 74 Guided by the Dao Ancestor, she went west to seek Ye Xuan. 74

Nuwa traded the Lotus Lantern and the Heavenly Mang Divine Blade for a portion of Chaos Breathing Soil, while also receiving Three Light Divine Water. She and Ye Xuan then discussed the Way of Creation, along with his insights into Destruction and Karma, for sixty thousand years. 76

In the Western Land, Nuwa fused Chaos Breathing Soil, Three Light Divine Water, and her own Qi of Creation to form divine soil. She successfully molded three thousand Innate Humans, named them the Human Race, and became their Holy Mother. Each possessed an Innate Dao Body, a trace of Chaos intent, and immense potential. 77

The Heavenly Dao granted her vast merit for creating humanity. One-tenth flowed to Ye Xuan in repayment for the karma she owed him, while the rest enabled Nuwa to attain Sagehood. 78

Wa Huang Heaven and the Heavenly Court

After becoming a Sage, Nuwa announced that she would open a Dao-field for a ten-thousand-year lecture. She later established Wa Huang Palace in a Chaos world reinforced by her Rivers and Mountains Painting. 78 79

During her lecture, Nuwa explained that she had not attained Sagehood through the Way of Creation alone, but through creating the Human Race. She also warned that the Path of Three Corpses required perseverance, fortune, wisdom, and ideally three treasures of the same origin. 80

When the Heavenly Court sought direct intervention against the Witch Clan, Nuwa refused to enter the conflict herself. She nevertheless perfected the Zhou Tian Star Dou Great Formation, extracted Star Origin Power to create a Star Chart, and warned that the completed formation could only be used three times. 82

Mending the heavens and restoring Fuxi

Following the Witch-Demon conflict, Nuwa borrowed Ye Xuan's Creation Cauldron and refined Five-Colored Stone from Five-Colored Divine Soil and Innate Divine Water. She used it to repair the rift in the heavens. 135

After the war, Nuwa sought Ye Xuan's aid in sending Fuxi's remaining True Spirit into Reincarnation. She made a Heavenly Dao oath to assist him whenever he required her help; with Ye Xuan acting as mediator, Houtu agreed to restore Fuxi through reincarnation. 138

Nuwa later protected Hua Xu during her pregnancy and assisted in Fuxi's birth into the Human Race. She supplied Fuxi with the River Diagram and Luo Book, enabling him to create the Innate Eight Trigrams, and joined Laozi in appointing him the first Human Emperor. 142 143 144

Conflict with Primordial Heavenly Venerate

Ye Xuan warned Nuwa that Primordial Heavenly Venerate intended to provoke her through Di Xin and exploit her retaliation to reduce Yin Shang's destiny. 179 Nuwa borrowed the God-Slaying Spear and the Twenty-Four-Petaled Innate Lotus Platform from Ye Xuan to confront him. 180

After Di Xin defiled her temple with a rebellious poem, Nuwa challenged Primordial Heavenly Venerate in Chaos. The Lotus Platform negated the Pangu Banner's Chaos Sword Qi, allowing her to kill him with the God-Slaying Spear. 181 182

Dao Ancestor Hongjun revived Primordial Heavenly Venerate and ordered the dispute settled, citing the upcoming Investiture of the Gods. Nuwa returned Ye Xuan's treasures and later received half of the Destruction Demon God's Origin Power from him. 183 184

Primordial Spirit method

Nuwa later answered Ye Xuan's summons alongside Houtu and others. Ye Xuan revealed that Primordial Violet Qi binds a Saint's Primordial Spirit to the Heavenly Dao, then offered the Heaven-Bearing Primordial Spirit Divine Embryo Dao Canon as a path to freedom. 219

Nuwa agreed in principle to surrender her Heavenly Dao Saint position, provided Ye Xuan could prove the method's viability. After witnessing the Three Thousand Heavens, she entered secluded cultivation to attempt breaking free from the Heavenly Dao. 219
