Otto Left Himself Two Paths: If Kiana Killed Him, He Would Be Free; If Not, the World Would Be Buried with Him
The Light Screen lit up again, as if someone had opened the final page of a ledger hidden in the darkness.
On the screen, Otto stood at the center of the temple. Tree-like markings had crept up to his jaw, like a layer of pale blue frost. Yet the corners of his mouth suddenly curved upward. The smile was faint, like a leaf falling onto deep water, carrying a composure that sent a chill through everyone's hearts.
"Did you really think I would stake everything on a single deal?" he said softly, as though answering unseen people beyond the screen.
"What do you mean?" Xu Sanshi instinctively straightened his back.
Huo Yuhao did not answer. His Spiritual Eye remained fixed on the screen. In Otto's eyes, the phantom branches were slowly being suppressed by an even colder light. That was not resistance. It was an escape route prepared long ago.
The scene shifted to an Imaginary Space. Kiana and Durandal were still trapped beyond the white light. But a crack suddenly split open in the wall of light. It was as thin as a strand of hair, yet wide enough for Flamescion to slip through. Otto did not look at them, but his voice seemed meant specifically for them. "If you can sever me, then do it. Use the Authority of the Void. Use Imaginary Renormalization. Do not hesitate."
"He's looking to die?" Bei Bei shot to his feet.
"No." Huo Yuhao's voice seemed drained of all warmth. "He's trying to survive. Just not in the way you think. He had calculated two paths long ago. If Kiana could not kill him, he would follow the original plan and use Flamescion and Tianyuan Power to alter the World Lines. But if she truly could sever his connection to the Imaginary
