He later describes having burned himself out in the fight against the Abyssal Sage King 417.

The battle also separated him from his child: Tang Wulin says he was frozen for ten thousand years and missed the child's entire upbringing 367. When the Light Screen begins revealing other worlds, he initially sees an opportunity to learn the truth of the world and help the Soul Beast race rise 1.
