Background / History

Bei Bei is at Shrek Academy's Sea God Pavilion when the Light Screen first appears over Douluo Continent. Sensing a crisis, he asks Huo Yuhao to examine it with his Spiritual Eye, but Yuhao cannot penetrate it. Tang Ya stays beside Bei Bei as the group struggles to understand what they are seeing 1 2.

The Screen's account of Teyvat's dragons strikes at Bei Bei's pride in his Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon martial soul. He reflects that his dragon requires cultivation and Soul Rings, while Teyvat's primordial dragons are presented as embodiments of elements. Later visions draw both reverence and distress from him: his martial soul trembles before the ancient dragons, and he is shocked to see humans forge armor from dragon bones 6 7 162 166 136.
