Thus, the two began discussing the various matters concerning the academy together.
They first talked about the academy's name. They hoped to choose something poetic and meaningful, a name that would reflect the academy's character and leave a lasting impression.
After careful consideration, they finally decided to name the academy "Apricot Grove."
The name carried profound meaning. It symbolized how this land would nurture countless shining stars, with its students dazzling like brilliant constellations.
These eager young students would also flourish here, becoming pillars of the Human Race and shouldering the responsibility of building up their people and serving the public.
Next, they discussed the academy's educational mission. They agreed that it should emphasize practical instruction, allowing students to improve their skills through hands-on work while learning theoretical knowledge.
Finally, they discussed the academy's future direction. They believed its admissions should not be limited to the Human Race, but should be open to the Myriad Races of Primordial World.
At the same time, the academy should strengthen its teaching staff, attract more outstanding instructors, and improve the quality of its education.
Once their discussions were complete, they officially established a Medical Dao academy in the Human Ancestral Land: Apricot Forest Academy.
Apricot Forest Academy welcomed students from far and wide and taught the Medical Dao. Its reputation gradually spread, drawing countless people who aspired to study medicine.
Under Shaoyao and Su Mu's careful instruction, generation after generation of outstanding healers flourished. Carrying Shaoyao's Medical Dao spirit with them, they traveled to every corner of the land, saving lives and healing the wounded.
The world became a better place because of them.
Su Mu and Shaoyao were both thrilled and excited. Their hard work had yielded excellent results.
In Human territory, after many years of fieldwork and practice, Yu finally devised an effective method for controlling the floods.
He focused on guiding the waters, using dams and barriers only as a secondary measure. By digging channels and building embankments, he directed the floodwaters to flow orderly into the sea, effectively solving the flooding problem.
After the flooding was brought under control, Great Yu looked at the Human tribes as they were now and came up with a new idea.
He realized that although the Human Race had escaped the threat of flooding, its tribes were too scattered and lacked effective organization and management.
Furthermore, the lack of clearly defined regional boundaries had led to an uneven distribution of resources and growing tensions.
Therefore, Great Yu decided to carry out a comprehensive redrawing of Human territory.
This idea was not an impulse, but a decision he had reached after careful consideration.
Great Yu knew that only by dividing the regions sensibly could he better unite the strength of the Human Race and help it prosper together.
It would also prevent internal conflicts over resources and ensure that the Human Race remained united and stable.
At the same time, he began preparing a detailed plan. It would require careful thought and meticulous planning, because it would affect the fate of the entire world.
He knew the enormous responsibility he bore, but he also believed that only through such efforts could peace and prosperity be achieved.
Yu began by conducting a thorough survey and assessment of the Human Race's existing settlements, learning about the terrain, climate, and resources of each region.
Then, using this information and taking into account the population distribution and future needs of the Human Race, he drew up a sensible plan for dividing the regions.
The plan considered not only the realities of the present, but also long-term development, aiming to create a harmonious and prosperous living environment for the Human Race.
The Human lands laid out in the plan were vast. Their eastern border extended to the East Sea Coast, where turbulent waves crashed against the shore, forming a magnificent vista;
The southern border reached the foot of the Undying Volcano in the south. This mysterious and imposing volcano inspired endless wonder and awe;
The western border stretched all the way to the foot of Mount Sumeru in the west. The majestic mountains soared into the clouds, wreathed in mist like a fairyland;
Finally, the northern border reached the North Sea, where cold winds howled over icy waters, evoking a sense of tranquility and unfathomable depth.
This vast Human territory was rich in natural scenery and resources, providing the Human Race with an ideal environment in which to live in peace and prosper.
Next, Great Yu summoned the leaders of the various races, explained his plan to them, and asked for their opinions and suggestions.
After a heated discussion, the leaders of the various races finally reached a consensus and agreed to implement Great Yu's plan for dividing the regions.
Then, Great Yu led everyone into a long and arduous undertaking.
They crossed mountains and rivers, traversed Human territory, and carefully measured every inch of land.
Throughout the process, Great Yu made full use of his wisdom and leadership, coordinating the efforts of all sides and solving many thorny problems.
When the Human Race was establishing its borders, the eastern, southern, and northern boundaries had all been settled, but the west met with resistance.
When the Human Race went west to establish its territory, disciples of the Western Sect drove away all the Humans who had gone there.
They did not dare kill or convert them, after all. The two leaders of the Western Sect knew what had happened when Nuwa beat the Three Pure Ones.
The matter reached Yu's ears, but he had no good solution, so he sent word to the Ancestral Land.
Human Sovereign Hall.
All the Human Race's high-ranking officials were gathered there. As they listened to Yu's report, their expressions darkened.
Before Fuxi could speak, Xuanyuan said, "The Western Sect dares to trip us up? We should send our army straight to their doorstep and take them on."
Shennong agreed. "Exactly. If the Human Race doesn't do something about the Western Sect's actions, other forces will surely follow their example."
Hearing Shennong's words, everyone nodded in agreement. Then Fuxi turned to Su Mu and asked, "Su Mu, what do you think?"
Su Mu pondered for a moment, then nodded in agreement. He knew this action was not merely about taking revenge on the Western Sect; it was also meant to show the entire Myriad Races of Primordial World the Human Race's strength and authority.
Only by making the other races understand that the Human Race was not a target they could bully at will could they ensure fewer obstacles on the path to its future development.
Thus, the Human Race's high-ranking officials all declared their support, deciding to send their forces against the Western Sect together.
They believed that as long as they stood united, the Human Race could overcome any challenge.
Fuxi led Shennong, Xuanyuan, Zhuanxu, Di Ku, Yao, Shun, and a host of other powerful figures, along with Ancestor of Culture Cangjie and Martial Ancestor Su Mu, on the journey. Only the Three Ancestors, Sui Ren Shi among them, remained behind to guard the Ancestral Land.
Bei Xuan, as Yu's master, naturally went with them as well. By then, the Messenger Officer had assembled the army, which was waiting to depart.
When Fuxi and the others walked out of Human Sovereign Hall, they immediately spotted Lingzhuzi.
As soon as Lingzhuzi saw Fuxi, she rushed over, wrapped her arms around his leg, and pleaded in a wheedling voice, "Great Master, take me with you!"
Looking at the adorable little one, Fuxi thought, She must want to go out and play.
Though he felt helpless, he could not refuse her pitiful gaze, so he nodded. "All right, you can come with us."
At once, Lingzhuzi's face lit up with delight. "Thank you, Great Master!"
The group headed toward Mount Sumeru in the west. Under the high-ranking officials' leadership, the Human army advanced toward the Western Sect in a mighty procession.
Along the way, the Human army's morale ran high. They swore to teach the Western Sect a lesson it would never forget.
The Human Race's massive mobilization quickly drew the attention of many powerful figures and cultivators throughout the Primordial World.
"What's the Human Race up to? Even its high-ranking officials have come out!"
"Yeah, it looks like they're headed toward Mount Sumeru."
"Mount Sumeru is a Saint's sacred ground. The Human Race is heading there in such a grand procession—aren't they afraid of offending a Saint?"
"What's there to fear? The Human Race has a Saint too. Empress Nuwa took on the Three Pure Ones single-handedly, and the West only has two Saints."
"Shh, watch what you say!"
"Exactly. Speaking recklessly about Saints—you don't value your life?"
At that, everyone fell silent, not daring to say another word. After all, not just anyone could trample on a Saint's dignity.
Thinking of this, the powerful figures of the Primordial World gradually withdrew their spiritual senses.
They knew this matter could trigger a huge upheaval, but there was nothing they could do about it.
All they could do was watch events unfold and wait for the final outcome.
By then, the Human army had reached the foot of Mount Sumeru. However, inside the temple on the mountain, Jieyin and Zhunti were lost in self-satisfaction.
Zhunti said smugly, "Senior Brother, who in the Primordial World besides our Western Sect would dare stand in the Human Race's way? After this, countless living beings will surely come to join our sect."
Jieyin, however, furrowed his brow and put on a pained expression. "Junior Brother, I can't shake this uneasy feeling in my heart."
Just as Zhunti was about to reassure him, a young novice monk rushed into the main hall, panic written all over his face.
"Something's wrong! Something's wrong!" the novice cried urgently.
Zhunti glared at him and scolded, "Why are you panicking? Keep your composure! Speak slowly."
The novice monk took a deep breath, doing his best to steady himself, then said, "Great Patriarch, Second Patriarch, the Three Sovereigns, Two Ancestors, and Four Emperors of the Human Race have led an army to our doorstep!"
"What? What did you say? Who's at our doorstep?" Zhunti's eyes widened in bewilderment.
Jieyin hurriedly looked outside Mount Sumeru. He saw the mountain's foot covered with a sea of Human soldiers, and his expression grew even more troubled. He said to his junior brother anxiously, "Junior Brother, they really have come to our doorstep."
Jieyin and Zhunti hurried out of the mountain and looked at Fuxi. "Fuxi, what are you here for?"
Fuxi's expression was dark. "We pay our respects to the two Saints."
Everyone bowed first. After all, they were facing Saints, and they had to observe proper etiquette so the other side could not use it against them.
Fuxi continued, "May we ask what the two Saints intend? Your disciples wounded members of our race without provocation and interfered with our efforts to establish our borders."
He was deeply displeased. These people were his subjects, and now that they had been wounded, he naturally had to demand an explanation.
Before Jieyin could come up with an excuse, a childish voice rang out. "Exactly! How dare you interfere in the affairs of the Human Race? Aren't you afraid our Empress will beat you up?"
The words were full of taunting disdain, and Jieyin and Zhunti's expressions shifted.
Zhunti looked around to see who dared speak to them that way. Spotting Lingzhuzi, he snapped, "Whose brat dares speak to a Saint like that?"
His gaze carried a hint of menace, as if he meant to teach the ignorant little one a lesson.
Fuxi had wanted to stop Lingzhuzi the moment he heard her speak, but he had been too late. He hurriedly said, "Please calm your anger, Saint. She is a child attendant of my younger sister's. She doesn't know her place. Please spare Lingzhuzi for my younger sister's sake."
He knew he had to protect Lingzhuzi from harm.
With a resolute gaze fixed on Jieyin and Zhunti, he spoke solemnly. "Two Saints! After countless hardships, our Human Race finally established the vast territory we hold today."
"This land carries the dreams and hopes of our people, generation after generation. We cherish it as we do our own lives and will never agree to change it. We have come here today despite the long journey for precisely this matter."
"The Human Race's position is perfectly clear. We have nothing to hide. Now I would like to know what stance the two Saints take on this matter."
Jieyin and Zhunti stood above the clouds, their gazes flickering as each weighed the situation.
Looking at the defiant figures below, Zhunti seethed with anger. He could not help transmitting his voice to Jieyin. "Senior Brother, these people have gone too far! A handful of Sub-Saints actually dare to threaten the two of us, Saints, so openly. Why don't we just attack and teach them a harsh lesson, so they learn what it means to show respect?"
As he spoke, Zhunti turned his gaze toward a little child in the crowd. A vicious glint flashed in his eyes as he continued, "Especially that ignorant brat. He dared to show disrespect to us Saints. I'll give him a lesson he'll never forget for the rest of his life."
Jieyin furrowed his brow slightly after hearing Zhunti's words, then replied through telepathy as well. "Junior Brother, we must not act rashly. It's true that the two of us don't fear them, but don't forget Nuwa is still here. Even the Three Pure Ones were no match for her. If we anger her, we may end up in serious trouble. In my opinion, we should agree to cede the foot of Mount Sumeru to the Human Race. That would prevent an unnecessary conflict."
Zhunti looked unwilling and retorted, "Senior Brother, are we really going to back down like this? If word gets out, we'll lose all face in the Primordial World! How will we ever stand before the other immortals again?"
Jieyin shook his head and said earnestly, "Junior Brother, don't be hasty. Even if Nuwa doesn't intervene, look at who the Human Race has brought here. Fuxi and the other two are especially formidable. Do you think the two of us can take them all down quickly? Even if we somehow beat them, we would certainly suffer significant injuries ourselves, and might even pay a terrible price. We have to weigh the cost carefully."
After hearing Jieyin's words, Zhunti fell silent and sank into thought. After a long while, he let out a heavy sigh and nodded reluctantly. "Fine, Senior Brother. Since you put it that way, we'll do as you say. But I still can't swallow this..."
Jieyin said to Fuxi, "Heavenly Sovereign Fuxi, we can cede the foot of Mount Sumeru to the Human Race, but you must allow the Western Sect to spread its teachings among the Human Race."
"As long as you don't go too far, we can agree to that." With that, Fuxi led the Human Race back to the Human Ancestral Land.
