Dao Ancestor Hongjun's expression was as calm as still water, his deep, abyss-like eyes faintly shimmering with mysterious light.
As he gently took the priceless Primordial Violet Qi into his hand, the surrounding atmosphere seemed to freeze solid.
Yet he spoke not a single word, merely turning silently, his figure fading like an illusory phantom from the spot, drifting away toward the distant and mysterious Chaos Purple Cloud Palace.
Meanwhile, the Five Sages, who had witnessed all this, exchanged glances, their hearts tightening.
They knew well that this place was no longer safe to linger. Without a moment's delay, they each unleashed their divine powers, transforming into streaks of flowing light, swiftly departing from Mount Tai Summit and racing back to their own cultivation grounds.
Empress Nuwa moved with graceful elegance, like a celestial maiden descending to the mortal world. She stepped lightly, her lotus-like gait carrying her slowly toward the Human Dao Hall.
Along the way, a gentle breeze stirred her silken, flowing hair, adding to her ethereal bearing.
As for the Three Ancestors and the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, their expressions were grave, carrying both hope and worry for the future as they hurried back to the Human Ancestral Land—the very foundation where humanity thrived, multiplied, and passed down its civilization.
Cangjie and Shaoyao, meanwhile, followed closely behind Su Mu. The three of them journeyed together and finally arrived at the tranquil Shouyang Mountain.
Su Mu stepped into his Cave Dwelling, gently closing the stone door, then slowly sat cross-legged on the stone bed.
He half-closed his eyes, sinking into deep thought. Countless ideas flashed through his mind: "After the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors comes the Investiture of the Gods Tribulation... What earth-shattering changes will this tribulation bring to the world? And how should I seek my own breakthrough and growth amidst this chaos?"
At this thought, Su Mu couldn't help but take a deep breath. Opening his eyes, a glint of determination flickered within them.
"Forget it, forget it. I'll just go out for a walk and think as I go. After all, traveling ten thousand miles is better than reading ten thousand books." Su Mu furrowed his brow slightly, muttering to himself.
He slowly stood up, stretched his slightly stiff limbs, and resolutely left Shouyang Mountain, heading toward the vast, boundless, and mysterious Primordial Era.
Meanwhile, far away on Kunlun Mountain, Taiqing Laozi's face was full of anger and resentment.
"I was the first disciple Teacher took in, the rightful Senior Disciple Brother of the Xuan Sect. Why must I always be suppressed by Nuwa? This is utterly unacceptable!" he grumbled indignantly to himself.
Beside him, Primordial Lord was equally furious, blaming the failure of their recent action on Sect Master Tongtian.
"Third Brother, how could the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation be broken so easily?" Primordial Lord glared, his face twisted with rage as he interrogated Tongtian.
Sect Master Tongtian sighed, a helpless look crossing his face as he quickly explained, "Second Brother, you were there and saw it with your own eyes! The merit Nuwa has accumulated is simply too profound."
"Her immense power was able to sever the Sha Qi, and that's exactly why the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation was broken. This is hardly my fault!"
"Third Brother! Do you realize how fearsome the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation is? It requires four experts of the same level working together to have any chance of breaking it! Yet now, Nuwa alone can shatter this formation. Could it be that your disciples—those 'fur-and-horn, wet-born and egg-hatched' lot—have dragged you down, failing to master the formation properly?"
Primordial Lord sneered, his tone dripping with sarcasm as he taunted Tongtian.
Hearing this, Sect Master Tongtian's face flushed crimson with rage, his eyes blazing as he roared, "Second Brother, what nonsense are you spouting! What does this have to do with my disciples? And what do you mean by 'fur-and-horn, wet-born and egg-hatched'? How dare you slander my students like this!"
Primordial Lord refused to let up, pressing on: "Hmph, did I say anything wrong? What kind of disciples have you taken in? Don't you know it yourself? All they care about is chasing after Magic Power, never once focusing on cultivating their own virtue and fortune!"
Sect Master Tongtian was left speechless by these words, his heart seething with fury, but his tongue was clumsy, and he couldn't find the words to retort.
So he could only turn his pleading gaze to Taiqing Laozi, hoping for support: "Elder Brother, please judge this matter fairly for us!"
But Taiqing Laozi was in a foul mood and had no desire to wade into this fraternal quarrel. He ignored Tongtian's plea, remaining silent.
Seeing this, Primordial Lord quickly chimed in: "Third Brother, Elder Brother has already tacitly agreed. Do you still have any objections?" He spoke with a smug look at Tongtian.
At that moment, Taiqing Laozi looked bewildered, thinking to himself: "When did I tacitly agree? But fine, fine, do as you please—whatever you want!" He simply shook his head and said nothing more.
"You..." Sect Master Tongtian trembled with rage, pointing at Primordial Lord and Taiqing Laozi, about to argue further, when suddenly a piercing, miserable cry rang out.
"Teacher, you must seek justice for your Disciple!" The voice was tearful, filled with grievance and pain.
The Three Pure Ones looked up and saw a crowd bustling around a figure slowly approaching.
As they drew closer, everyone was stunned—walking in the middle was none other than Taiyi Zhenren, and he was sporting a massive pig's head, a sight both absurd and pitiful.
Primordial Lord's brow furrowed deeply at the sight, displeasure written all over his face as he said sternly, "Taiyi, how did you end up like this?"
Taiyi Zhenren hurried forward, dropping to his knees before Primordial Lord, sobbing, "Teacher, it was Zhao Gongming and his crew who did this! I was out today when I ran into their group and was ambushed."
"They struck with ruthless cruelty, beating me into this state. Please, Teacher, you must avenge me!" With that, Taiyi Zhenren was a mess of tears and snot, looking utterly pathetic.
"Nonsense! You were the one who started hurling insults at us, spewing arrogant words. You couldn't beat us with your skills, and then you tried to call for reinforcements to settle the score, but you still lost." Zhao Gongming's eyes blazed as he refuted with righteous indignation.

At this, Sect Master Tongtian turned to Zhao Gongming, puzzled, and asked, "Gongming, what really happened? What did they say?"
Zhao Gongming quickly cupped his hands and explained to Tongtian: "Teacher, here's the thing. That Taiyi, not knowing his place, kept provoking us, constantly insulting us as 'fur-and-horn, wet-born and egg-hatched' scum. It was too much to bear, so we taught him a lesson."
Bixiao chimed in, adding, "Teacher, this isn't the first time they've been so arrogant. They've mocked us many times before."
Hearing this, Primordial Lord snorted coldly, his face darkening as he said to Tongtian, "Hmph, Tongtian, look at your disciples—spending all their time cultivating Magic Power with no regard for moral cultivation. Showing such disregard for sect brotherhood, beating Taiyi into this state—it's utterly appalling!"
Sect Master Tongtian's heart burned with indignation, and he shot back, "Second Brother, you can't say that. It's your disciple who's lacking in skill and strength, and that's why he ended up like this."
For a moment, Primordial Lord was left speechless, unable to respond.
After a pause, he turned to Taiqing Laozi, complaining, "Elder Brother, look at Tongtian now—so disrespectful, not even putting me, his Second Brother, in his sights. It's lawless! I can't even scold him anymore."
"Third Brother, have your disciples rein themselves in a bit! Stop fighting and killing all day—such behavior is improper." Taiqing Laozi said gravely.
Hearing this, Sect Master Tongtian's temper flared, his eyes blazing: "Elder Brother, what are you saying? It was Second Brother who was in the wrong first—why are you blaming me?"
Sect Master Tongtian fumed as he recalled the past: whenever he and Primordial Lord disagreed, Elder Brother Taiqing Laozi would always side against him without question, while coddling Primordial Lord. This unfair treatment had happened time and again, and the more he thought about it, the angrier he grew.
"Elder Brother, how can you be so unfair! Why do you always take Second Brother's side? Am I, your third brother, truly so worthless in your eyes? Am I still your own flesh and blood?"
Sect Master Tongtian could no longer contain the fury in his heart, roaring at Taiqing Laozi. "Since you both think my disciples are inferior to yours, fine! I'll take my followers and leave this place. From now on, we go our separate ways!"
Before his words had even faded, Sect Master Tongtian flicked his sleeve, turned, and stormed off Kunlun Mountain with a throng of Jie Sect disciples.
Watching Sect Master Tongtian's towering figure grow distant until it vanished at the horizon's edge, Taiqing Laozi let out a soft sigh.
Then he spoke slowly, "Second Brother, I too must leave. From now on, Kunlun Mountain is yours to govern."
With that, he lightly flicked his sleeve, his form transforming into a streak of Flowing Light, disappearing in an instant, leaving only a gentle breeze brushing the peak of Kunlun.
"Elder Brother, even you would do this! Hmph..." Primordial Lord muttered indignantly, staring at the direction Taiqing Laozi had gone.
Then, his face dark with anger and resentment, he turned and strode furiously toward the Jade Void Palace.
Along the way, Primordial Lord brooded inwardly—why had both his elder brothers abandoned him? Why could they never see eye to eye with him?
At this thought, he quickened his pace, eager to return to the palace and enter seclusion for cultivation, to raise his power swiftly and make everyone look at him with new respect.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Sect Master Tongtian led his many disciples on a journey to find a new Training Ground.
They crossed mountains and ridges, waded through forests and rivers, enduring countless hardships and dangers. Yet Sect Master Tongtian pressed forward unwaveringly.
He believed that with persistence, he would surely find a blessed, spiritually rich land perfect for cultivation.
Su Mu, wandering through the vast and mysterious Primordial World, was immersed in the magnificent scenery of this ancient land.
Suddenly, a group of figures appeared not far ahead. Focusing his gaze, he saw it was Tongtian and his entourage.
A wave of confusion surged in Su Mu's heart. "Huh? Why would Sect Master Tongtian be here? What business brings them this way? Could it be that the legendary Three Pure Ones have already split apart?"
Filled with bewilderment, Su Mu stared intently at Tongtian and the others, his eyes brimming with curiosity and scrutiny.
Steadying himself, Su Mu quickly stepped forward, cupped his hands respectfully to Sect Master Tongtian, and announced loudly, "Greetings, Saint Tongtian!"
At that moment, Sect Master Tongtian also turned his gaze to Su Mu. His expression was somewhat complicated, as if he were wrestling with inner turmoil.
It was because, not long ago, Tongtian had been forced to act against the human race. Though it wasn't his will, the deed was done.
Tongtian forced a smile onto his face and asked in a gentle tone, "Nephew Su Mu, where are you headed on this journey?"
Su Mu bowed slightly and replied, "Reporting to Saint Tongtian, this junior merely wishes to travel and explore the wonders of the Primordial World. May I ask where Saint Tongtian intends to go?"
Hearing Su Mu's question, Sect Master Tongtian did not hide the truth and spoke frankly.
Su Mu thought to himself, "It seems I was right—the Three Pure Ones have indeed split."
With that in mind, Su Mu offered a suggestion, "Saint Tongtian, in this junior's humble opinion, you might consider exploring the vast seas. Perhaps you'll find unexpected gains."
At these words, a glimmer of light flashed in Sect Master Tongtian's eyes, and he warmly invited, "Oh? Nephew Su Mu speaks wisely. In that case, why not join us? We can look out for each other."
Su Mu nodded without hesitation. "Good! Then I'll rely on Saint Tongtian's care." And so, the group set off together toward the sea.
