"Bang!"
After Han Su's Executor teammate fired without hesitation, everyone on the entire street froze in place.
Some were terrified, others stunned. They stared wide-eyed at the office worker lying on the ground. Her graceful figure was gone, and her two pale legs were splayed awkwardly.
Blood spread beneath her body, and ragged bits of flesh showed through the bloody hole in her face.
Death was always ugly.
In less than a second, the dead silence around them turned into screams and panic. Everyone fled in terror, scattering like headless flies. Only Han Su and the Executor remained fixed in the chaos.
"Watch out!"
Han Su couldn't find the right words to describe how he felt at that moment.
He couldn't even ask, because Executors weren't allowed to talk out of turn.
So he didn't know whether someone really had to be killed so easily, or whether killing was the only way to solve the problem whenever a person with an indistinct face appeared.
But he clearly saw that once the woman fell, her face became distinct, as if some force had lifted a blurred mask from it.
At the same time, the air around her seemed to crease faintly, and an invisible shadow appeared to dart away from her.
Just then, his Executor teammate reported excitedly into the earpiece, "Mr. Strange Bird, an anomaly has been detected at Line 2!"
"Excellent!"
The excited voice of the investigator codenamed Strange Bird came through the earpiece. "Teams One, Three, and Four, withdraw from the containment zone and set up a perimeter around Line 2!"
"The two of you in the Line 2 area, stay where you are and stand by!"

With no time to think, Han Su and the Executor both grew alert, feeling as if they were being watched
