Noticing Lu Piao's odd expression, Chang Ping reached over and snatched the photo from him. He took a closer look. It was a picture of himself, completely naked and showing off his muscles.

Chang Ping vaguely remembered taking this photo before he started tormenting Shen Xiu.

He must have been fumbling around just now and accidentally pressed the button one too many times, printing it out.

Chang Ping felt a little uneasy. Fortunately, it was only a photo of himself. If it had been one of Shen Xiu, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

Although he hated Shen Xiu deeply, he still didn't want other men seeing her naked. After all, she was the first woman in his life.

"Brother Lu, what were you saying just now?" Chang Ping stuffed the photo into his pants pocket and put the Simple Camera back into his Space Ring.

Lu Piao's face was as red as a monkey's bottom. He lowered his head and said nothing, lost in thought.

Before Chang Ping could ask him again, a large group of people stormed into the classroom.

"Big brother, it's him!" Shen Yue pointed at Chang Ping, his voice filled with resentment.

That bastard hadn't just ruined his plans to woo Ye Zi Yun; he'd also hit him in front of so many people, making the Sacred Family lose face. They wouldn't be done until they broke his legs, snapped his tendons, and beat the shit out of him today!

"Bitch!" Shen Fei strode over, grabbed the collar of the female student sitting to Chang Ping's left, and swung a roundhouse slap at her, twisting her face sideways. "You dare hit someone from the Sacred Family? Are you tired of living?"

That slap stunned not only the female student, who'd been dreaming of marrying into a wealthy family, but Shen Yue as well.

When Shen Yue came to his senses, he reminded him, "Big brother, you hit the wrong person. It wasn't her—it was the guy beside her."

"Oh!" Shen Fei let go of the female student.

With a thud, she collapsed to the floor, clutching her face and sobbing in misery. Shen Fei had hit her so hard that he'd ruined her looks with a single slap.

"Shen Fei, you've gone too far!" Ye Zi Yun stood up, eyes wide with anger.

With someone taking the lead, the other students also sprang into action. Some helped the beaten girl to her feet, while others glared at Shen Fei and his group.

Unexpectedly, the girl suddenly spoke up in Shen Fei's defense. "It's not Young Master Shen Fei's fault. I deserved it. I was so clueless that I got in Young Master Shen Fei's way."

What the hell?!

She'd been beaten and was still defending him. Was she really that shameless?

The whole class was speechless.

"Hahaha!"

Shen Fei laughed arrogantly, then took out a Demon Crystal Card from his Space Ring and tossed it to the gold-digger.

The Demon Crystal Card landed squarely between her breasts and slid into her bodice.

"Thank you, Young Master Shen Fei!" The gold-digger was overjoyed. She grinned broadly, as though the wound on her face didn't exist.

A Demon Crystal Card was worth ten thousand Demon Spirit Coins. With that money, she wouldn't have to worry about tuition for the next three years.

Some people looked on with disdain; others were envious.

Shen Fei gave the crowd a sidelong glance, sat down in the gold-digger's seat, and hooked an arm around Chang Ping's neck.

"Shen Yue says you called me a good-for-nothing?" Shen Fei's voice held three parts anger and seven parts contempt.

Chang Ping turned his head and looked at him expressionlessly.

"Yeah. So what?"

When Shen Fei saw Chang Ping's utterly ordinary face, he shot to his feet.

"What are you doing here?" Shen Fei blurted out, like a wildcat whose tail had been stepped on.

No wonder he'd looked familiar. It was that country bumpkin.

First, the brat had humiliated him outside the school gates; now he'd landed Shen Yue on his butt in the classroom. What the hell did he want? What had the Sacred Family ever done to him? Why wouldn't he leave them alone?

What Shen Fei didn't know was that Chang Ping had not only beaten the two brothers, but had also taught their own aunt a lesson.

"Are you an idiot? If I'm not in class, what else would I be doing in the classroom?" Chang Ping patted the shoulder Shen Fei had dirtied with an expression of disgust. "Why'd you bring so many people to our class? Looking for a fight?"

Chang Ping suddenly stood up and stared at Shen Fei, his expression hostile.

"Don't come any closer!" Shen Fei instinctively backed away.

He'd taken two slaps from Chang Ping that morning, and his face was still numb.

"What's wrong with Shen Fei? He came in acting so tough. Why's he acting like a mouse that's seen a cat now that he's run into our new classmate?"

"And he's supposed to be a genius of the Sacred Family? He's scared out of his wits! What a disgrace!"

"Who is this new classmate? He isn't afraid of the Sacred Family's revenge. Could he be a direct descendant of a Peak Family too?"

Everyone began whispering among themselves.

Shen Fei stood at the door. He couldn't win a fight, but running away would be too humiliating. He was caught between a rock and a hard place.

"Give Shen Yue his seat back, and I'll pretend none of this happened," Shen Fei said, forcing himself to sound calm.

"Seats in the front row go to whoever's strong enough to claim them. I'm not giving it back. What are you going to do about it?" Chang Ping kicked aside a chair blocking his way, stepped out from between the desks, folded his arms across his chest, and slowly walked toward Shen Fei.

Chang Ping pointed at his own chest and shouted, "Hit me, you good-for-nothing! Take out your little dagger and stab me right here!"

"You... y-you'd better not get too cocky!" For every step Chang Ping took forward, Shen Fei took one backward, until he'd backed out of the classroom.

Chang Ping sneered and clenched his fist. "You need strength to act tough, and I've got plenty! If you don't like it, come fight me!"

Watching Chang Ping drive Shen Fei and the others out of the classroom, the Beginner Class students were stunned.

"Holy shit! That's badass, bro!"

"No wonder I can't act tough. Turns out I'm not strong enough!"

"You're only figuring that out now?"

"Seriously, how strong is this guy? He can scare a Silver-rank Demon Spirit Master into acting like that. He's got to be at least Silver-rank, right?"

"Say 'rank,' but don't say 'right.' Keep it civilized for everyone."

"Look at those bulging muscles on his arms. He's at least Silver Five-star. A Warrior at that stage should have completely mastered Dark Energy. I bet he could knock Shen Fei's brains out with a single slap. It's only natural Shen Fei would be scared."

"If he's a Silver-rank Warrior, why isn't he in the Formal Warrior Class? What's he doing in our Beginner Class?"

"It's probably a school rule. All new students have to spend at least two months in the Beginner Warrior Class and pass the final exam before they can enter the Formal Class."

"Tch! Just going through the motions!"

Xiao Ning'er silently watched Chang Ping's broad back, and a sense of security welled up inside her.

Although she hadn't even exchanged a single word with him, she inexplicably felt at ease as long as he was there.

"He... was his name Ping Chang?" Xiao Ning'er muttered softly. "What a strange name..."

Just as Shen Fei was caught between a rock and a hard place, the instructor in charge of the Beginner Warrior Class's second lesson strolled over.

"What's going on? Why are you upperclassmen blocking the door to the Beginner Class? Trying to bully my students? Which class are you in? What are your names? Stop! Don't run!"

The upperclassmen scattered in all directions. If they were caught, they'd certainly be punished and locked in a little room to reflect on their actions.

"If the instructor hadn't butted in, I'd have killed you! Just you wait. We're not done yet!" Shen Fei shot Chang Ping a venomous glare, tossed out a threat as stale as they came, and ran off.
