Nan Li and Dong Yun completed four Life God Trials, grew stronger, and helped Dan Hong regain her humanoid form. They began the fifth trial against Lan Xi and Di Yan, and Nan Li sought Dan Qing’s help preparing for the challenge.

• Nan Li and Dong Yun began the Life God Trials, struggling up the Ten Thousand Foot Dan Ladder before Nan Li completed the first trial with Zhuzhao’s help.
• Nan Li and Dong Yun passed the second trial by using Nan Li’s Southern Bright Domain to bypass Fu Guang’s blockade and reach the Heavenly Pool.
• Nan Li and Dong Yun defeated the Roaring Demon Shark Queen and the Overlord Pangolin Tiger Shark King with help from Lan Xi, Beloy, Di Yan, and others, then absorbed Soul Bones that brought them to Soul Power level eighty.
• Nan Li and Dong Yun endured the third trial’s harsh weather, earning a Soul Power level and three thousand years on each Soul Ring.
• Nan Li and Dong Yun made the Fusang Tree bloom by transferring spiritual energy, completing the fourth trial and receiving another Soul Power level.
• Dong Yun nurtured the epiphyllum’s companion rock, and Dan Hong emerged from the Dragon Bone Torch Epiphyllum with six Soul Rings before reuniting with Nan Li.
• Nan Li and Dong Yun began the fifth trial by fighting Lan Xi and Di Yan, but ended their first attempt early and received half a year to complete it.
• Nan Li asked Dan Qing for advice on Lan Xi’s methods, and Dan Qing agreed to help if Nan Li called her sister-in-law.

Nan Li and Dong Yun passed the sixth Life Trial, which sent them into separate false lives. Nan Li returned to Blue Star as Jiang E Li, joined a special forces unit, and infiltrated Garuda’s operation to rescue Jiang Mingzhao and Ye Jin'an; the arc ended with Jiang E Li overpowering Garuda’s forces underground.

• Nan Li and Dong Yun defeated Lan Xi in the fifth Life Trial, earning a thirty-thousand-year increase to each Soul Bone and a God-Bestowed Soul Ring.
• Nan Li and Dong Yun began the sixth Life Trial, Truth and Falsehood, and the Goddess of Life tested their views on choosing whose lives to save.
• Nan Li awoke on Blue Star as Jiang E Li with her twin sister Jiang Mingzhao, while Dong Yun rejected the Rakshasa God’s illusion of Qian Renxue killing Nan Li.
• Jiang E Li enlisted, trained for special forces, and joined Long Lingyun’s Yaoguang Strike Team, where she learned that undercover agents Golden Crow and Biyi Bird needed rescue.
• Jiang E Li discovered that Golden Crow was Jiang Mingzhao, infiltrated Garuda’s operation with Long Lingyun, and was captured before Jiang Mingzhao and Zhou Yue helped her escape.
• Jiang E Li entered Garuda’s manor, found her mother Ye Jin'an in the underground laboratory, and supplied intelligence and data to Jiang Mingzhao and Guan Chen.
• Garuda’s forces attacked Jiang E Li and Jiang Mingzhao, but snipers and arriving teams helped them fight back as Jiang E Li used her Southern Bright Domain against the attackers.
• Jiang E Li cut Garuda off from the underground security system, devastated the base with her Southern Bright Domain and Endless Annihilation, then knocked Garuda down when she attacked Jiang Mingzhao.

Nan Li and Dong Yun endured the Goddess of Life’s Seven Emotions Trial, then faced separation as Dong Yun joined Qian Renxue and Nan Li prepared to enter the wider world. Di Yan sacrificed himself to reset Dong Yun’s trial, while Nan Li set out for the Lake of Life and sensed someone she loathed nearby.

• Jiang E Li recovered Garuda’s data chip, helped rescue 127 victims, and stayed beside Jiang Mingzhao through withdrawal before volunteering to serve as a drug reservoir.
• Jiang E Li completed Yaoguang’s final mission, but Jiang Mingzhao died from a chest wound, and Jiang E Li used her Martial Soul to restore life across the Southern Bright Domain before leaving Blue Star.
• Nan Li and Dong Yun entered the Seven Emotions Trial, where Nan Li faced illusions of her family’s deaths and Dong Yun confronted the abuse that had made her believe she deserved to die.
• Nan Li refused to abandon Dong Yun in their shared mental space, and the sisters completed the trial together before Nan Li began her Eighth Trial beneath the Fusang Tree.
• Nan Li learned disguise techniques from Dan Qing and agreed to accompany Luo Gu to Heaven Dou, while Dong Yun left to assist Qian Renxue and reached Rank Eighty-Seven.
• Dong Yun attacked Tang Hao and Tang San at Moonlight Pavilion, but Guanyin’s Tears struck Qian Renxue and Dong Yun before Qian Renxue took Dong Yun away to recover.
• After Nan Li reached level ninety, Di Yan sacrificed himself to reset Dong Yun’s God Trial, which ordered Dong Yun to defeat the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King.
• Nan Li traveled to the Lake of Life, reunited with Er Ming, and used her Spirit Power to detect someone she loathed nearby.

Nan Li protected Xiao Wu and the great Soul Beasts, strengthened Xue Ke, and helped Dong Yun complete his Seventh Life Trial by defeating the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King. The arc ended with Nan Li realizing Dong Yun had maneuvered events to keep her away from Heaven Dou City and asking what Dong Yun would risk if the truth emerged.

• Nan Li killed Ghost Leopard Douluo, while Qian Renxue led Spirit Hall forces in destroying the Clear Sky Sect with Dong Yun’s help.
• Nan Li returned to Heaven Dou City, reunited with Huo Wu, advised Emperor Xue Ye, and began training Princess Xue Ke.
• Nan Li helped Xue Ke obtain a Jade Swan Soul Ring and moved Da Ming and Er Ming to safety while Xiao Wu grieved over Tang San and the Clear Sky Sect.
• Nan Li traveled to Vast Sea City to find the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King for Dong Yun’s Seventh Life Trial, and Dong Yun caught up with her there.
• Nan Li, Dong Yun, and Azure Luan fought the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, with Dong Yun delivering the final blow and completing his trial.
• Dong Yun absorbed the whale’s million-year Soul Ring and Soul Bone, while Nan Li, Dong Yun, and Azure Luan gained power from the whale’s body.
• Nan Li realized Dong Yun had arranged events to expose Qian Renxue and keep her away from Heaven Dou City, then asked how many lives Dong Yun had if the truth came out.
